Momin you are mistaken Manisha was famous for her strong portrayal of characters.In 90’s all other actresses were busy in dancing manisha did really good cinema Bombay, 1942, akele hum akele tum, Agnisakshi, khamoshi,dil se, mann, the list is very long. But she got less recognition because of nepotism. She deserves more, happy for Mallikajaan ❤❤❤

I like your Heeramandi review however, you didn't discuss about the language. I am from Lahore I know that even in 1920 nobody spoke Urdu like they showed in it. Further, Lahore was not a Nawabon k sheher. I guess , SLB loves the name of the place (Heeramandi) however, he didn't bother to do any kind of research regarding Lahore, its culture, language, the location of Heeramandi in Lahore etc. No doubt it's entertaining even with weak story and so much flaws.

SLB always presents Tawaif like that.. so posh, so glamourous. Everything so grand and extravagant. He never depicted the real lifestyle of courtesans n prostitutes. Sabhi mahal ki raania banai hoti hain. Gangubai achi thi bus

Totally agree with Heeramandi review! Visuals were great and that was expected from SLB but story ne bera harq ker diya! I blame the weak story and Alam’s acting aka nepotism for ruining Heeramandi

Loved your review of Heeramandi and couldnt agree more with you guys about the miscasting of Alamzeb and the story line. I think the political/revolution angle was not needed in this story. I do agree with you both that in-spite of the not so good storyline it was worth a watch and that was only because of the superb acting of all the cast except for Alamzen of course and the grand production. You didnt mention Taha Shah as Tajdar. I think he also acted well, had good screen presence and a very big role amongst the predominantly female cast. Momin just to make you aware Manisha has been a fine actress in her era and did some amazing roles in movies like Bombay, Khamoshi the musical, 1942 a love story, Agnisakshi, Akele hum akele tum, Lajja and her best performance for me was in Dil Se.

Asra is bearing so much toxicity, but there is another new drama (I guess HASRAT) in which an educated woman who is earning more than her husband is treated like a trash and she is just bearing it all and trying to do even more better. Everyone at her inlaws has problem with her and always taunt her tht she is doing a job..She is trying to do best in housechores but still everyone humiliates her.. Though the actress Kiran did such an amazing job, she is definately an underrated actress but the story is crap. I wonder how they can show tht even educated, independent women r bearing so much crap then what about those women who r uneducated and without jobs..I donot know what they r trying to show.. #Ammastake #Ammatvaurmein

Manisha & Sonakshi aced their characters.. 💗 Loved their perfOrmances!!! The Granduer Sets, the Lavish Outfits, The ExceptiOnal Beautiful Jewellery & the way the film is sh0t ufffff 🔥💗 It was very Asthetically Pleasing!!! 😍 Amma's p0int is so0o right, the daughter of Waheedan was reallyyy veryyy pretty & her acting was goOd toO! True.. Fardeen Khan's rOle was hardly of twO mins in fact, all the male characters except the pOlice officers had a mOreee rOle than the others & it was a delight watching Tajdaar but didn't like the girl..
