Let's forget for a moment our Chinese friends (on whom I have focused exclusively to save time since I worked on my novel) and open a little parenthesis for our Pakistani Sufi friends. In each spiritual tradition there is an esotericism that touches me more particularly (Gnosticism in Christianity, Kabballa in Judaism, Dzogchen in Tibetan Buddhism, Sufism in Islam), and these Sindhis Sufi of the Indus Valley are absolutely awesome. Then, the Westerners believed that the inhabitants of the other bank of this "Hindhu" were called "Hindhu" too. This is why this great country was called India and all of its religions Hinduism. In reality there is no Hinduism but "Sanatana Dharma", the eternal duty authorizing the use of all religions to fulfill it. So, Sindh country has preserved the origin of this name, and the Sindhis are mainly Pakistanis with an Indian minority, and the majority are also Sufis. And these people make absolutely beautiful and inspiring mystical music. BTW, I think Mola is Maulana, the Lord.
