Kota Iskandar is an integrated development that is planned together with its carefully inspired design. It consists of the offices of the Johor State Government & the Federal Government. Kota Iskandar is the site of the modern administrative capital of Johor , just like Putrajaya where the country’s administrative capital lies. Situated on a 320 acre site of manicured gardens and parks, Kota Iskandar was declared open by the late Sultan of Johor, Sultan Iskandar on April 2009. It is home to 6,000 civil servants, serving the State and Federal Government offices.
Kota Iskandar began with a vision to develop a destination unlike any other. One that integrates government departments in an open and sustainable environment, creating an iconic hub ideal for staff, investors, visitors and Johoreans alike. To bring this vision to reality, a joint venture was formed between the Johor State government and UEM Land Berhad called Cahaya Jauhar to “co-create the future”.

IRDA facilitates licensing and registration requirements for new businesses and investors. In addition, there are also fiscal and non-fiscal incentive packages specific to Medini.
