BVKS Maharaj's attributes :- Clarity of thought, clear understanding of Prabhupada's teachings, indefatigable determination to stay on course laid down by Prabhupada , determination to tow the line as ordained by Prabhupada, strict adherence to ISKCON's philosophy as laid by Prabhupada without any deviations, teaching and preaching by personal conduct and example, pure Krishna devotion, calling a spade a spade and no comprise w.r.t. Krishna consciousness. Hare Krishna !!!

I can relate so much! In iskcon we now have so many "yoga" and bodily health advisors coming in and giving lectures on how to keep the body fit. And then relationship advice and then lectures on "leadership tips from bhagavad gita" and then "environmentalism" . So much nonsense. And then motivational speakers being called for "how to have a good career" ,"personality development for students" and all of that rascaldom but then they say "we have to address this topics as well, we cant possibly talk about Krsna all the time like a fanatic" Well if your aim in life is not to be a Krsna fanatic then what are you doing in Srila Prabhupada's movement? Kaliyug has definitely entered Iskcon. Needs a lot of changing(beginning from ourselves)

Many don't understand what Maharaj is talking is because they want to get cheated. The desire for sense gratification is so strong it will allow you to go against Srila Prabhupada also.

We don't want many millions of stars with no light. What is the use of millions of stars with no light? That is Cāṇakya Paṇḍita's advice, varam eka putra na chavur kasatan api (?). One son, if he is learned, that is sufficient. Na chavur kasatan api (?). What is the use of hundreds of sons, all fools and rascals? Ekaś candras tamo hanti na cittara sahasras. One moon is sufficient to illuminate. There is no need of millions of stars. Similarly, we are not after many millions of disciples. I want to see that one disciple has understood Kṛṣṇa's philosophy. HH Bhakti Caru Swami recently mentioned that ISKCON is now a rich movement and people might feel attracted to exploit the material facilities. But this seems ok - this is also mentioned by Lord Krishna, "O best among the Bharatas [Arjuna], four kinds of pious men render devotional service unto Me-the distressed, the desirer of wealth, the inquisitive, and he who is searching for knowledge of the Absolute." Of course, by following the rules and regulations new bhaktas become purified and make further advancement towards pure devotional service. Prabhupada also tried to convince impersonalists and made them understand transcendental loving service.

20:24 The future of ISKCON outside of India will depend on this topic. 1) We do know that Srila Prabhupada did in fact lower the Gaudiamat standards to appeal to Western audiences, that is not debatable. 2) We also know that Srila Prabhupada in fact did try a gradual approach with his very first disciples, also not debatable. 3) We also know that Srila Prabhupada emphasized in meeting with leaders and scholars of other religions, not to convert them, but rather to reach a consensus on what it is to serve God, not debatable. 5) Times have changed and ISKCON is doing very poorly outside of India, also not debatable. Shouldn't we at the very least openly discuss adapting to the times and trying a different approach to preaching in the Western world? The world has been taken by storm by Yoga and Veganism and we are in the outside looking in. 6) ISKCON devotees are dying all around us from diseases, can we please stop trying to say that knowledge about health and how to stay healthy is sense gratification? Taking care of our bodies is part of Krishna Consciousness, also not debatable. Please forgive of I have offended anyone, I am simply trying to have open dialog with fellow devotees. Haribol.
