Island Peak (Imja Tse)

Жыл бұрынSome of my fellow Everest Base Camp trekkers stayed an extra week in the Himalayas and climbed Island Peak (Imja Tse). This is my composition of their adventure. I hope to go back some day and climb it myself.

Island Peak is 20,305 feet (6,189 meters) elevation. To put it into perspective, Denali is the highest peak in North American and it tops out at 20,310 feet (6,190 meters). The boys were as high as the tallest mountain in North America and higher than the highest point on 4 other continents on earth.

John: This is the BEST video I've seen on climbing Imja Tse. Loved the heavy breathing and location appropriate music which reminded me of how difficult the climb was. And when you say, "This is so stupid," I have to cover my face because I'm laughing so hard and I'm in a public place. Also looked at your Angel's Landing video, and I thought. "He's walking in my shoes!" But that's an LOL; true, but not to be taken too seriously.

Fascinating. These guys are very brave and I for sure wouldn't consider climbing mountains 😊🇬🇧 beautiful but dangerous
