the guy on the R1 wasn't faster, Max won easily on the straight line when he passed him. it was 1-1 cause the R1 passed him and he took his 1st place back. We see near the end that the R1 is right behind him before Max got the straight line.

You are completely right - That R1 was, as far as i could see, an RN19 so not even close in power (20PS difference) and overall stats compared to an s1000RR. That guy was really the faster one there. Still entertaining though

I agree, i was actually going to post something similar. The R1 rider stayed on his side of the road where as the S1K rider was straight lining turns just trying to keep up. And the R1 in the titles is not the same as the one in the video. R1 is about 10years old

I like how you show how far back he is at the end yet you were that far back for a long ass time in the beginning. And when his bike is slower he was still able to stay in the lead forever. Good race but you definitely didn't beat him by any meaning of the word. You passed him because he let off before the corner and took that one easy. If not for that you most likely wouldn't have passed him.

Pretty intense race! both riders very skilled, the R1 rider definitely has an edge though. Also, that wasn't even a crossplane R1 like shown at the end. 04' - 08' R1 (completely analog, no electronics, not even ABS, and nowhere near the output) vs. a 15' or 16' S1000rr ( 2nd revision, complete suite of electronics, race ABS, and 180+ rwhp) not a fair competition! Btw nice save from the speed wobble right after the mirror knockoff.

You guys started racing at 0m:52s but I won't count that as you didn't start in parallel. You had the advantage. He led the race from 1m:37s 'til 3m:36s, roughly 1m:59s You led the race from 3m:36s til the guy stopped following you at 4m:19s. You can clearly tell that by looking at the mirror. So your lead is roughly 43 seconds His lead, on the other hand, is 1m:59s Check your facts, because he destroyed you. Not the other way around.

This is pointless me typing this up but mate you're a good rider - take it to the track if you're gonna ride that hard. I love to have fun on my bike and push it but this is out right dangerous and you're putting others lives at risk with you being on the opposite side of the road. Swampster70 are you really try to compare an overspeeding kiddy with the bravest man's alive? None of the youtubers have the skill set to compete with a professional racer. Just my 2cents. No offense, I also enjoy those kinds of youtube motorcycle vids for entertainment purpose only.

@@manfredselak267 Totally agree. The real professionals are not as fun to watch (subjectively) because they make it look effortless. They are that clean and calculated. This is better TV because he is always on the edge of dumping it, too close to the corners, sloppy acceleration, etc...

They would not even get a look in at the Isle of Man. The Isle of Man riders have skill, courage, technique and discipline. The riders above possess none of those qualities.

R1 rarely had to use both lanes Max. You are very talented and crazy but on this one the other rider was faster. Still love how you kept your composure after losing a mirror like your in Isle of man haha. Love the vids man. Balls of steel.
