Hi Gemma and Campbell Loch Shinta was amazing to say the least. Also have followed nicroams for some time.The Portree Hotel looked really inviting and friendly. In our day quite a number of years ago about 30 the hotel that we found outstanding and affordable was The Skeabost Hotel at Skeabost. We found that we could have the same meals served in the bar having stayed in a But an Ben a short stroll awa, were available in the Hotel. A few years later we toured Scotland, saved up and had a few days in the Hotel fine dining par excellence. The Isle of Skye never seems to amaze!!

My god someone in van life that can actually say the tremendously difficult word loch , I better explain for all on park for night, locks 🔒 are found in doors and canals, lakes don't apply we have lochs, I know its so so so difficult .

Is it Illegal to paint those things green, so they'd blend into the scenery instead of clashing with it. With all the snow the scenery's come to them just now..😁

Just relined the new carpark for the trust that runs it, whole day a mile from them and no time to go and visit :( fyi for any visitors, the single track road (plenty passing places but its so busy) a few miles the last leg of the journey is like, a monstrosity, 10mph will destroy your vehicle, 2mph will desttroy it if you hit some holes, however im sure the more complaints received to the council, not the trust for the fairy pools, the quicker it will be fixed.
