He should’ve won filmfare awards for Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas films. Saathiya and Taal songs were ok in 1999 and 2002.

those were not his songs.....people who used to do the music arrangement and production for him....he stole them and released them as his songs....just like how sanjay leela bhhansali does...he puts his name in the credits instead of the real creators.......all these people anu malik, ismail darbar....sab ek se ek chootiye hain.....doosre ke kaamon par khade hue hai...unlike rahman.....

@@sashaktajha8488 Both Nadeem and Taurani were acquitted because of lack of evidence. The main witness who was present at the meeting between Vicky and Nadeem turned hostile. He later died. Other witnesses backtracked. There was no solid evidence and the case ended up to be a weak case against the accused.

Definitely Ismail Darbar was a good musician and could have been a great musician of Bollywood but Bollywood themselves didn't give him opportunity and he got trapped in the comparison with AR Rahman and instead of being humble became frustrated and arrogant to even criticize AR Rahman. Not that one cannot criticize Rahman, but first one has to reach that level and then do, not when you are just a child. No wonder Ismail had a downfall.

Hindi movies these days lack music and musicians. Countable films could be called complete films because of excellent actors, dialogues, lyrics, music, etc. These films, to quote some are, Balraj Sahini's Do beegha Zameen, Dilip Kumar's Moghul e Azam, Sangharsh, Gunga Jamna and very many more, Rajendra Kumar's Mere Mehboob, Raj Kumar's Pakeeza, Mere Huzoor, Ashok Kumar's Mahal, Sharukh Khan's Devdas, etc. The last had beautiful music score and dances by Pandit Birju Maharaj. Is there any scope these days to have complete films? I think Sanjay Leela Bhansali is the only person who can produce complete films. This is my personal opinion and may not necessarily be concurred to.
