Great review and I am considering to get the pro. Can you name your garage doors so I can open up the correct by using voice command?

will it operate without the sensor? i.e. allow you to open without feedback. Our door is programmed to close itself after x time. So we would only need the unit to open, and don't really care whether the door is open or not.

I have the NEXX NXG-200 and I am not happy with it at all, it interferes with my wifi and I have tried a lot to fix it. It does have the geofencing feature though. This one does not seem to, but I think you can make it open as you approach home. Have you tried that or had any wifi interference? Thank you, nice vid!

You can use the automation controls via Homekit to open it as you arrive home. I tested it and it works

Its been a great product for my Genie Garage door opener - but for some reason it juts disappeared from Apple Home. The ismartgate app works, but I'd like Apple Home to be restored so I can use my Apple car play etc and add users more easily. Any advice ?

Great review. I haven't got a powered garage door yet, just looking around at the moment. Was wondering which model you have? It looked very easy to connect up to your system.

I have the iSmartgate pro and very easy to install. But if you just plan to use it with HomeKit then just get the standard version and save some cash

@@HomeKitAuthority ahhh yes! Another thing I didn't consider. Is the Meross similarly like this? Ideally I think it'd be nice to have the ability to operate it like it's the original garage remote for the odd occasions.

1:10 - So any connected cameras can't be seen/aren't exposed to HomeKit? Does this mean that it might be better to go with a cheaper Meross garage door opener and pair it with an indoor HomeKit-compatible/HomeKit Secure Video security camera?

If you disable the alarm noise the garage door won’t have the delay and will open instantly.

I purchased the iSmartgate Pro based on your review and I really like it. However, when I ask Siri through Apple Car to open garage door it states that I have to unlock the phone first. Do you know of a workaround to this issue? Perhaps an App for Apple Car by the developers might be helpful? (considering what the device controls)

My wife and I bought a house that has this. We were told it would work for us. We have tried to connect it to our WiFi when the previous owners moved out. It is not letting us do this and we can not hook it up to our HomeKit on our phones. Is there something we need to do?

I bought this product earlier in the week and installed today. I'm less than thrilled. The instructions are very poorly organized and incorrect in some cases. (Tighten by screwing counter-clockwise??) More importantly, for a multi-door setup, you'll need additional door sensors the wiring gets messy without drilling holes and running behind wall. Lastly, you'll need an outlet nearby for the door-opener wiring. I'm returning this item for a MyQ

It’s been 4 months how has the opener been? Any connectivity loss or false notifications? my insignia is so terrible I’m about to throw it out!

I bought a first iSmartgate Pro and after a year it failed. The company didn't respond. I bought a second one and it arrived defective. So far I wasn't able to receive a replacement. They keep lying about the shipping of the new product. After complaining they created a fake shipping label more than one week ago and they never shipped anything. I don't know if this is just colossal incompetence or fraudulent acting. Just stay away and if you want to buy a smart gate opener search among most respectable companies.
