I had such a fun couple of days in Islamabad, searching for books and finding them at various bookstores all around the city. This is great, I had to watch it twice.😂 Once to see the books and again to hear your discussion of the shop. There's so many great stores packed into this one video. OUP always has great releases. I love uni presses for non-fiction and when they translate fiction. Cognitive Science is fascinating to me, especially when it's linked with language topics. So are any type of ethical subjects. I read a Biomedical Ethics book in uni that was fascinating and introduced me to how complex that issue is. The crowded bookshop is a goldmine!! There was one just like that in Korea that sold only English books. A grandfather aged fellow and his darling wife ran it. The only English they knew were book titles. 😸 And they knew almost exactly where it was in the store or could find it quickly!! I couldn't ask them for genre and for non-fictions, I had to show a picture of the book, then they could beeline for it. Oh my gosh!! They stocked up on Signet Classics & Oxford Classics for you ^.^ That's so sweet of them! Your vlogs are fabulous, thanks for sharing ^.^

I'm so late in replying to this. But thank you so much for stopping up. I am so glad you enjoyed. I miss these bookstores specially now. Thats such a darling thing for a couple do: run a bookstore together. Sounds magical.

The name of the bookstore you first visited is Reader’s Point at Centaurus Mall in Islamabad. 🇵🇰📖 Love the illustration of children’s literature and fairy tales! ❤️ Hope you enjoyed your school curriculum with books in languages, English and Urdu from, Oxford University Press as a child! 😊

I enjoyed it. I think I should try vlogging myself and I really need to find a decent second-hand book shop. I mostly order online and I never know what kind of edition I'll get in the mail. Last time I ordered a paperback but got a hardback without a dustjacket in rather poor condition.

If you are a member you can get 50% off of books you buy from them: for a total purchase of 5000 rupee per year. I think that’s how it works. You can check their official website.

None actually. Get them online or may be try old book shops. You can get the oddest books there.

Welcome! I think Saeed book bank does have an online site, last time I ordered from there it was rough, not the best site for book shopping but works.

Mam we have three shop in centaurus mall and you visit only one shop we have huge verity of old books start price only Rs.50 only and biggest exhibition in islamabad
