The quickest way to core the world as any country is by going down the “Console Command” focus tree and doing the focus called “add_core” to instantly and painlessly core provinces 😮😮😮

I think the idea is that you just dismantle the concept of a state and therefore communes anywhere can contribute just as well to the cause as "home territory". However given how HoI4 works instead you just... kindof get some weird state that doesn't look quite right.

I personally have had a lot of fun with the Anarchist path, primarily because it has some of the most unique mechanics in the game (like the custom economy law, the advisors, and the enforced 0 stability), but I do wish it wasn't so much of a grind.

My favorite part about collectivized society js that often mod makers dont realize its supposed to make up for 0 stability and you get 80% stability plus collectivized society

I really hate how paths that require more effort, but provide a fun experience are being completely destroyed by enormous Political Power costs and needless time investments The main offenders are Anarchist Spain, United Africa and the Swiss Cantons Nobody really plays those paths anyways, so why would they preemptively nerf them into unplayability

I actually genuinely love the Spanish civil war mechanic, and pretty much only ever play the anarchists.

Had a really wild multiplayer run as anarchist Spain where I was pretty well positioned to win Europe until the USA player came in and got stomping. Mostly by doing funny diplomatic stuff. Goaded people into donating lots of equipment to the other parts of the civil war, and when I won that I got all that stockpile. Helped Germany with France and BeNeLux. Negotiated for Mediterranean France, the bulk of their colonies, and the Netherlands. I was able to core Java and a couple other really high population colonial states. By the time of Germany's inevitable betrayal I had huge amounts of manpower, had cored several high value states scattered around various colonies, and made friends with Soviet and Japanese players. The fight with Germany was going alright, and I had a ceasefire with UK, but it USA joining really broke my game (also, my central American oil exports from Curacao got killed) still an insane game where I got lucky for way too long

I played an ironman game as the anarchists, conquered the entire world and cored every single state, built max infrastructure, developed all resources... deleted the military, the whole thing took a couple of weeks to do and I don't think I can beat the autism allegations now

The Spanish Civil War is legitimately my favorite part of the game. It feels relatively balanced and not just one side steamrolling the other, and there isn't much waiting time before the war starts.

So, I've played a lot of the civil war. the best 'fastest' strat is to trigger the opposing side's civil war beforehand. In the anarchist case, you must consolidate/hold the line on the basque country. If you can bludgeon them away from any of the other provinces that are needed to avoid the carlist split even better. With a 4th faction involved you get more planned offensives, which remove the debuffs and allow you to finish the civil war in like early 1938. And a full year of recovery is a godsent.

Also, the buffs to anarchism's production are those of having 100% stability.

I think somebody tested and it took them to 1990 or something to core every state in the world

I personally love SCW and to play as Anarchist Spain. No joke, think it's one of the more fun experiences in the game.

i guess some form of bureaucracy and "middle management" still makes sense with councilist anarchism, communalism, etc. although this bureaucracy would be different from how we typically understand it.

Same problem as Communist Ethiopia. They get a wacky fun path with tons of cores but it'll take you until 1970 to actually get any of them thanks to the costs

you know what i really hate about Paradox? they make some really cool paths and ideas that are so interesting, for example Willhelmina Netherlands, Edward VII England, Confederated United States, Brazil and Portugal Kingdom, Romanov Poland, Romanov Russia. And then they put either 1 achievement that you can get easily in the middle of your campaign, or they put a fucking cancer one like "Macao My Day" Paradox, be smarter, make multiple achievements for these paths, let the player fucking play the fuck out of these nations and add a bonus of getting achievements if they ever wanna go for that.

Technically, the anarchists aren't even Spanish anymore. They're globalist. Also there's a mod for Stellaris where you can match the flag and continue as the anarchists in space

Maybe if they just made anarchism it’s own ideology, like just as an Easter Egg mechanic only available when playing Anarchist Spain. That way, they could make Anarchist Spain more playable. Although to be honest, they should just split up non-aligned into separate ideologies. Despotism for Monarchies and dictatorships, An ideology for junta’s and similar military governments, put the “weak democracy” democracies that aren’t just full blown authoritarian regimes into democratic, and then anarchism as it’s own separate thing.

I just did the math because I was curious. For Vichy France, if the decision costs 20k inf equipment with each div having 300 inf. equipment, you should get 67 divs (rounded to the nearest div); however, you get 15 divs. WHERE THE FUCK DID THE 52 OTHER DIVS GO, AND WHERE THE HELL DID 15.6K EQUIPMENT GO!!! FUCKING PARADOX!!! It doesn't even get better because, with the Soviet Union, ISP got 19 divs, so where did the other divs and equipment go!

whole 0% stability thing makes so sense because if you look at the actual history of the anarchists, for all their talk of no states and all that, they were basically a kinda odd government structure with a collectivised economy (which i mean props to them they did what the ussr couldn't and had a worker run economy that actually became more productive) so the whole "0% stability" is just kinda random and doesn't reflect what stability is meant to be anyway

While you're not the kindest to the focus I think it's actually super cool how the game genuinely respects Anarchism in its way! Most people who hear about Anarchism claim that it's impossible for a thousand different reasons. They say the most basic workplace could not be run under these principals, an Anarchist military is an oxymoron, and any Anarchist victory would quickly devolve into a constant state of violence. HOI4 ignores all of that nonsense in addition to saying that Anarchism is the only ideology which could actually unite the entire world, which is pretty based of them.

When are they going to add an industrial branch to the Spanish focus tree? It's like they just half finished it, called it good, and released it. Now it's been years and still not finished. Yes, there are some industrial focues under the political branch. But other focus trees do that, too. They still maintain a separate industrial branch. And usually, one for each armed service, which again is MIA in the Spanish tree. This tree looks big, but you're basically forced into one path and there actually isn't much content.

I‘ve had idea on how to not male the coring shit. Make so if you have a noncore state next to a cored state, that noncore state over time becomes a coded state. You can still play the pp to core a state immediately, but it’s more like a seed that will spread to all the nearby noncored states

For the record, coring provinces is cheaper if they're bordering a core. It's cheaper and faster.

If you take provinces from Portugal and raise the world tension you can declare on GB and take out France with 15 paratroopers. Afterwards you can easily take out the UK and if you farm their troops you have a decent war score so you can take a lot of land
