Sinkiang is actually the best Chinese warlord to play. You can join the Comintern on day one and get the Soviets to steamroll the other warlords for you, and with the new patch, if you then backstab them and take central Asia off them you can form Turkestan and get even more cores.

Romania is actually the strongest of the "Death or Dishonour" countries. At least the campaign is the easiest one.

For the Czechoslovakia focus, I find that after Germany gets the Sudetenland, Czechoslovakia becomes more inclined to accept your ultimatum
