Man this fight has got me torn. I come from nothing, drug addict parents etc. Rooting for Alex in the first fight due to how much it would change his life financially having come from a rough background too. I’ll never not remember the first time I saw Israel bust out the rock lee though and the ‘weeb’ stuff that saved my life was being shown by a real life champ which made me feel less weird. Funnily enough it’s not even a sad video but my eyes started getting a little watery having to try think about who I want to win this time. It’s in that dark place, in that mental space. Thats where you become ferocious. That’s where you became who you are. All those years ago watching Robert fight from the nosebleeds. Wondering what life was like at the top of the game. But it’s never been about the top. *No Champions have ever been made at the top.* They’ve all been embracing the wrong shit this whole time, drawing strength from something illusory. The real champions are made at the fucking bottom. In real. Fucking. mud. Maybe that champion is at a friends house, watching an MMA event for the first time.
