I don’t care for Adesanya, but the amount of hate this guy gets for simply being a weirdo is unreal. He obviously doesn’t fit into the stereotype of a tough fighter but he still is an elite martial artists. At the same time those haters seem to have no problem with Strickland bullying people in sparring sessions.

Bro I think Strickland sucks. I liked Izzy before we started getting to know more about him. The dog video,the Dricuss stuff and the pettiness towards Alex just sort of made it hard for me to be a fan of him ngl. The dog video was probably the biggest thing. This interview made me appreciate Izzy more and made me realize that the MMA Community took Izzy for granted. Izzy is a true champ at least he cleared the division before asking to fight another champ in another division. Usman and Volk are another great example of true champions.

It was a different era of the UFC but this era is the hardest because there is so many killers who are all well rounded in MMA...Anderson was knocking out wrestlers and submitting boxers, Izzy knocks out everyone and out classes everyone with style...

It's great to see Izzy here. No race baiting from the interviewer, DJ really makes fighters feel comfortable talking about things he relates in his life and overall fun convo throughout. Hope he get's back to fighting soon. If only people stopped bashing so negatively on the comments but it's the way it is... one can't have ass kissers all over. This is what I love about the internet.

I wish he didn't make the mistake of thinking his lane should be the money mayweather type heel. He's terrible at it. His real personality(that you can see in like 99% of this interview) is way more compelling and more than enough to sell fights as the hero. This is the first time in a while I've enjoyed one of his interviews.
