@@jdloom1513 rushing is not the solution against a counter striker like Izzy, he have to close the distance between them knowing how to use the reach, Kelvin Gastelum was the only one to know how to use to use the reach and get close to him, but he didn't have enough power and gas tank to defeat Izzy, Romero have more power than Kelvin but he didn't how to use the reach and was concerned to gas out like him. Izzy have weakness but is very hard to expose them and get the victory.

Manuel Romero - Life & Art The unbeaten Brazilian has to boil his frame down to make 185lb and was reportedly as high as 212.5lb just 10 days before the fight - leaving himself a whopping 27.5lb to lose. I really think the weight cut affected his ability to fight. He should not fight at 185lb it’s not natural for him

Honestly, that would've ended the fight sooner. Everytime they exchanged Izzy was faster and more precise. This is why I think even if Costa had adopted his usual brawler style like people wanted him to, he would've been KOed sooner. Izzy's just the better fighter.

I think he fought to save energy for 5 rounds and took the leg kicks for granted, and then he got kicked in the head which was the beginning to the end..
