Regardless of the outcome of this. I will always appreciate what Izzy brings to MMA. His intro & run to the belt was so entertaining. He should utilize THAT fluid movement he had. Instead of this stiff sideways shuffle that lost all his fluid footwork. His best way to beat Alex is BEING MOBILE. Diverseness. Shiftiness. Lastly, in worst case scenario moment's Izzy has got to take away from the last fight that he's got to find new ways to get himself out of dangerous moments, how to be defensive and try your best to not let Alex get a easy finish just because defenses and mobility went out the window... Regardless win or lose I will tune into every Izzy fight because I really appreciate all the unique things he's brought to the UFC.

It's funny how because israel is an anime fan, he always tries to portray himself as the protagonist and hero of this story in his youtube and Instagram posts and make out as if Alex is the villain.. The thing is, Israel Adesanya and his fans need to realise that... Alex pereira isn't the villain between the 2... He's the protagonist and Israel is the antagonist. Israel is the cocky one, showboating and bragging every chance he gets, he's the one shit talking and disrespecting everyone whereas Pereira is the silent and humble one who literally grew up with nothing, (whereas Israel's family was upper class who literally had servants to help him bathe) and Alex worked his way up from the bottom living in poverty in the favelas, battled alcohol addiction since his early teen years and worked his way up to the top, beating the villain (cocky shit talking adesanya) 3x and every time, no matter how hopeless it seems for Alex, almost losing the fights he always finds a way to win in the end.. which is what a protagonist does. Not only that, he stays humble. Alex isn't the villain, Israel is. Alex is the protagonist to this story.

To you. From your perspective. Spread your propaganda elsewhere please. “Cocky, showboating, and bragging …” to you is confidence and self-assuredness against all odds to others … “shit talking and disrespecting everyone” bogus. “Silent and humble” debatable. Feel free to root for whomever you please but Israel is well within his rights to tell his story as he and his team deems fit. Nobody’s perfect. Your protagonist’s shit stinks too. Most people are the heroes/heroines of their own story…

"I will Kill you" is surface level, "I'm prepared to die" already involves "I will kill you", but adds the death touch which is completely spiritual. That's the size of fight in the dog. You can be ready to kill yet not be ready to die.

I've watched that fight many times over & the one thing Izzy didnt do enough of is bob & weave his head and only started to move his head towards the end of the fight when it was too late. Izzy was using his head to set traps for the counter which is too dangerous against a power puncher that has range. Izzy must jab more and remember it's his skills that will win the fight, by contoling the tempo of each round, combinations of punches & kicks, distance contol & head movement is vital. Izzy must fight his fight & not the fight Pereira & his team have set out.

Seriously all the best man in the fight, I hope you enter pure flow state when your in there. Keen to know your opinion though, do you think there's anything to the notion of you needing to be perfect for 25 minutes to win? Because of Alex's competency and experience striking, even if you hurt him (assuming theres time to finish), do you think it's more feasible to continue striking where he could defend/recover or to take him down while he's hurt where he's much more likely to make mistakes? Do you feel you need to shoot/feint a takedown early regardless of whether you get it or not just to let him know and potentially stifle an over aggressiveness in his offence? I think you've proven in your last two fights with him that you have the skills to beat him standing which would also (probably) be a lot more satisfying as opposed to a submission, how difficult is it, if at all, to fight the ego? Write your story my man, win, lose or draw this chapter ends here, what a thrilling feeling it must be to be in the driver's seat. From the movie Never Back Down - "It's all me, right?" "Always has been." Give him hell 👊

I appreciate you sharing you thoughts on the fight, the details, with us. I do think the stoppage was a fine one- too many hard unanswered shots, with a fall to a knee, in between. Have to be fair to the ref. Having said that, the fact that you can stagger him, as you have in the last two fights, makes the rematch deserved.

I was rooting for Pereira the first time and I will be rooting for him a second time. But I do think the stoppage was still early. I also think Izzy wins the 4th bout because of how he caught Pereira in the first round, and he seems to know how to make it happen again. It made Pereira look easily beatable when they were both fresh. Hopefully Alex is doing the same thing and rewatching the tapes, along with this video.

If you watch the fight again you can see that Pereira was winning the first round till he ate that punch at the end. In my opinion, if he didnt have eat that punch he would be winning by the judges. Also, Pereira fought with one broken finger, idk man... If Poatan come to this fight 100% and do not make the same mistake(eat that punch) i see him winning again.
