"Spain, Ireland and Norway said Wednesday that they would recognize a Palestinian state on May 28, a step toward a long-held Palestinian aspiration that came amid international outrage over the civilian death toll and humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip following Israel’s offensive.
The almost simultaneous decisions by two European Union countries, and Norway, may generate momentum for the recognition of a Palestinian state by other EU countries and could spur further steps at the United Nations, deepening Israel’s isolation."

If you understood anything you would know that an agreement was made that Nato would not push to add Ukraine to the alliance... it was always to be a buffer between Nato and Russia. The Nato alliance is breaking that agreement. If putin wanted Ukraine that bad, he would have over ran it in the 1st week. Yes they were told that and not just the European Jews but even Arab, North African, Central Asian Jews etc. I have seen interviews with Morrocan and Iraqi Jews who said they were told exactly that. I have also seen an interview with an educated Russian man who was placed in an illegal settlement in the West Bank. He had no idea it was illegal until he looked it up he wasn't happy about that. It's sad.

you can't be that stupid. There were both Jews and Arabs living there. Arabs in the majority but Jews as well. Did you know that Jews were also living in Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Syria until those governments expelled them forcing them to leave, their homes and all their possessions behind. No UN spoke up for them, no millions of dollars in aide from the west to resettle. They went wherever they could to make a better life for their children. The didn't whine and cry for 75 years for a right of return . They moved on and made a good life.

Israel entry into UN in 1949 was dependent on fulfilling two conditions: (1) there will be a Palestinian state nearby the Israeli state (Resolution 181) (2) all the Palestinians who were made refugees by Israel in 1948 will be allowed to return to their original homes. (Resolutions 194,3236) None of these 2 conditions were fulfilled by Israel to date, thus undermining its own membership

Last week my old football team Bohemians FC of Dublin Ireland played a friendly against the Palestinian team. The old stadium was sold out and full of Palestinian flags and chants for Free Palestine. It was the women's teams playing and Palestine won 2-1. I couldn't have been prouder to have been a former player of this great club. Now today my Taoiseach who's party I have never in my life voted for, made another great gesture that makes me very very proud to be Irish.
