Isreal has dropped thousands of leaflets, made calls and sent electronic messages each time they intended to act militarily. These types of communications have been actioned in regard to the Rafah operation. So there is a plan and that plan is dependant on the civilians acting on the instructions. There has not been any other war conducted with as much pre-messaging of pending actions - which does not do Israel and its goals any favours as Hamas can simply melt into the civilian population or use the surviving tunnel system to relocate including escaping into Egypt. So the statement that the US is unaware of what Israel plans is utterly untrue - false.
