29 күн бұрынThe Biden administration said there is "reasonable" evidence to conclude that Israel may have violated international law amid its military operation and war in Gaza, but that it did not have complete information to verify whether US weapons were used.
The information was discussed in a 46-page report by the US State Department delivered to Congress on Friday. It stopped short of any definitive assessment and stated that due to the chaos of the war, many details remained unclear.
The report was made public just days after President Biden again voiced his opposition to Israel's planned operation in Rafah and said the US would not provide any weapons used in that offensive.
During an interview with CNN, Biden explained that the US is still committed to Israel's defense and would supply Iron Dome rocket interceptors and other defensive arms.
David Daoud, senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies joined LiveNOW from FOX's Josh Breslow to discuss the report and the latest developments out of the Middle East between Israel, Hamas and Hezbollah.

I just saw an article. Between the over reporting of the civilian casualties, and the underreporting of the HAMAS casualties, in this war we may have the number of enemy military casualties exceed that of civilian casualties. This would be unprecedented in the modern era! Get this out to the world!

Except you'd have to be extraordinarily dimwitted or the most uncritical bootlicker to believe such reporting. How did they count the number of militants killed via aerial bombardment and shelling, or tank rounds? Magic? Did they go on the ground and examine the bodies or remnants and identify them? If so: where is the documentation? So yes, it would be unprecedented if that was the case, ergo: it's a LIE, it's bad propaganda, and only fools accept it at face value. The number of Hamas fighters considered to have been killed is literally them taking the Gaza Ministry of Health numbers and subtracting women and children. That's it. This is like claiming that the victims of the Dresden firebombings were 35% Third Reich soldiers on the basis that this was the ratio of males over 16yo.

Hamas did not exist until Israel colonised and abused Palestinians. Hamas is a response to the violence they have grown up knowing. Its made of people who have lost family, homes, and has suffered their entire life because of Israel. It’s an organisation Israel created through their violence and killing of Palestinians for the past 75 years. Don’t forget, Israel KNEW october 7th would happen before it did. They still let Israelis go with zero warning so they could have a reason to begin their genocide. Also, a large amount of Israelis died via IDF helicopter fire. The good news is that it is just certain Democrats, Biden included, that have turned their back. We Republicans and conservatives have not. Further, the Democrat party is losing support from the people because of what Biden has done. We will vote him out, and Trump will be right there for Israel. Also, the House of Representatives is bringing Biden up on impeachment charges. It's unlikely to work, but that's a way of signaling that the rest of us are still behind Israel. "International law" sounds good, but who enforces it? Right now, it's the USA. This works (most of the time) when dealing with smaller countries that have far fewer military resources than we do. But when it comes to dealing with the Russians and the Chinese...? Different rules apply. Where Israel is concerned, NO rules apply.

@@Brian-wj5up It's really an international treaty that we recognize as law under the US Constitution. There is no international body that makes laws for all the countries in the world. Some call that anarchy, some call that sovereignty. We should never allow our sovereignty to be given up to a world government. Treaties are ok though. So, they are breaking their promise to uphold the content of the treaty they signed, but they are not breaking a law.

I can understand and respect a person who believes that and argues for that, but I don't think that's what you're doing. The U.S. Constitution, which Fox News viewers are usually rather high on, states "all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land." Don't take my word for it, take twenty seconds to look it up.

Accusing Israel of genocide or ethnic cleansing is ridiculous. The palestinian population has nearly doubled in size since 2005. They're currently over 5 million palestinians. The palestinians have admitted to the UN in the last couple weeks that at least a third of the numbers that they've reported are unconfirmed but we'll use their number of 35,000 anyway. That is 0.7% of their population have been deleted in a war they started. How can that be considered genocide? Had hamas come out and fought like men instead of hiding behind women and children like cowards it would have been much lower. If Israel wanted all of the palestinians gone they would be. You can't just give the terrorists a pass because they're cowards hiding among civilians. In reality innocent people die in war. It sucks. I think we need to stop pointing fingers because many countries have done far worse in retaliation for a terrorist attack. The US has done worse in 1 day.

Exactly. If it means you can end the war, you do what you need to do. War is hell. That's why you try to get it over with quickly, and over time save lives. That's what the US nuclear strikes did. We should have used them in Vietnam, and it would have won that war. But we didn't, and I'm glad. Could have used them in Iraq too, but we didn't. So, the US is not hypocritical. Certain politicians just outright lie. The goal of the USA is not to kill people. I am sure of it. I served in the military for 20 years from California to Panama, to Germany, and Iraq a few times, and I can tell you that 99% of the US military does not want to kill anyone. There is a small number of people who joined the military to legally kill and enjoy it. I'm sure that exists in all militaries. But I can tell you that we try so hard not to injure civilians. It makes us look bad when it happens. If for nothing else, that's why we don't want to do it. But I can personally tell you that almost all the soldiers in the US military are good people who do not want to hurt civilians. Thanks.

Israel's own human rights group, Beit Tselem says Palestinians are living under an apartheid system and occupation, and it's been so for 75 years. We are not even talking about the Nakba of 1948 when 750,000 people were forced out of their homes into exile, 15,000 were killed in the process, many were raped and maimed, all for no fault of their own. Instead of turning on the people who persecuted them, the Zionists attacked the innocent Palestinians. Make that make sense.
