Israel has just introduced its new Barak 5th-generation main battle tank. The new Barak Tank has deadly and very accurate firepower, whether stationary or moving, night or day, with a very impressive range.
It took approximately five years to develop this tank until finally, the Israeli Ministry of Defense succeeded in delivering its first unit to the 52nd Armored Battalion of Brigade 401.

I find the Merkava “Barack”, a well-developed, well-designed, main battle tank. Israeli companies like Elbit, are on the leading edge of electronics suites for military vehicles and this provides a significant enhancement over prior models. Coupled with frequent and rigorous training, the Barak is a fearsome and capable weapon.

MK3, already at the beginning of the 90's knew how to shoot down a helicopter or a plane and this was even before other armies even thought such a thing was possible. So 30 years later, be sure that what is described here is not all the capabilities of the most advanced and deadliest tank in the world, by a large margin compared to the rest.

If the crew becomes too heavily dependent on those 360-degrees view helmets the most logical way to attack would be to hit the the camera's on the outside with paintballs from a distance, leaving them temporarily blind. Within those seconds that they take off their helmets and scramble to observe the surroundings in the old-fashioned way another attack could be launched to destroy the tank.

@@lenoxkahindi4723 War is never easy. But, with excellent coordination my suggestion is the most logical approach. You are free to strategize your own approach. _edit: Don't think of leisure paint-balls.. think bigger means of delivering enormous amounts of 'paint' with one shot.. also, 'paints' can be mixed with other powdered ingredients that might cause havoc on the tank's instruments. A good scientists will know what to mix into the paint for causing those extra sensory troubles._

Shooting out periscopes and cameras have always been a risk. Yet we don't see people really going for it. Probably because if you're close enough to do that. You're close enough to hit the tank with an AT rocket or missile. Hell, even artillery can be used to destroy the sensors on top of a vehicle. You won't kill a tank with artillery because it's very hard to score a direct hit. But if you used VT fuse or prox. You could rain frag down onto the vehicle and knock out comms and some visual equipment.

Let me get some facts for you: Your IDF fanclub talks big, However if this is all you can muster. It will not work, 360 degrees on VR? A simple flashbang can blind the controller. A railgun system has ammo that can be electrically charged, making it both invisible for radar/satellite aswell as for the naked eye. Pretty sure you can say it is a MBT, however, it is steal extremely weak at its tracks. They went with firepower over mobility and defense. Another last thing, the entire sharing AI between tanks sounds amazing, but it is a massive weakness. Especially in the age of electronic warfare, so should one of thei tanks get infected with a vision blackout it will spread through the entire colony of the same type or even bust up their IFF aswell creating infighting amongst themselves. . Making this new tank not really something anyone should put complete trust in on the battlefield. Afterall lately many forgot the old ways, then started to depend more on technology advancements. Losing every day the lessons they were trained with. So if lets say in the future the technology becomes unusable and it is back to manual handling. Do not be surprised, they got no clue of to pull that off. Everyone can design and have a new tank built. Yet if it only sees in many countries service for 20 years. Then again it becomes either a museum piece or scrap for a new one. In the end a tank is still just a tank. The tech may be advanced, yet it still needs human control. Thus that said, making a big remote controlled tank however, then we are talking about a tank of the future. Not this Merkava Mk. 4 with additional extras and a bigger gun.
