Who knew that a country that already existed needed to deter themselves as a country? Aside from the fact that there were millions more Palestinians than Jews (obviously that would be the case since Palestinians had been living there for generations and Jews were just coming in to form a new state) yet more than half the land was given to Israel and on top of that most of the good farmland was located on the parts that were given to Israel. And in the Oslo accords they tricked Yasser Arafat into what looked like a two-stage solution but it was very carefully worded not to call Palestine a state. This showed that Palestine was ok with a two state solution and would have lived in peace, but the west were a snake as usual. Add to that the fact that it was Israel that got greedy and instead of staying on their allotted land, they started occupying the Palestinian part of the land and making illegal settlements there. And layered on top of that is the fact that the UN never did anything about it. And the question of Palestine has been held up at the UN by governments like the US for decades. Palestine has been betrayed over and over by the world. Oct 7 was of Israel's own making and only a matter of time.

The British and the French had promised the Arabs sovereignty and Arab leadership over the Arab peninsula and the Levant if they helped them defeat the Ottomans. So they helped them. Now that the British occupy PALESTINE, something unusual happened back in Europe. Remember, Jews in Palestine only constituted one-third of the population - most of whom arrived from Europe a few years earlier yet in the proposal they were allocated 55% of the land. The Arabs clearly rejected it because it was a bad deal and the Zionists accepted. However, here's the catch, the Zionists didn't agree to the proposed borders and *even campaigned for more land.* So they agreed to an Israeli state but didn't agree to the size of it so they can just choose it for themselves.
