We've heard a lot about "Israel's right to defend itself"... So what about Iran's right to defend itself? Israel bombed the Iranian consulate in Damascus, killing 13 diplomatic staff apparently. All governments consider consulates and embassies as untouchable. It was a serious military action that demands a response. But of course the USA continues to defend its errant ally. There really are no red lines in that relationship.

The aggressor is just looking for an excuse to steal more land and wants to provoke a war so it can do that. October 7th was an excuse to get rid of the Palestinians from Gaza and steal Gaza. Things did not work out to Israel plans as the Egyptians did not open the border which Israel was counting on! Her story of the horrific situation in Gaza and the plight of the Palestinians truly help me visualize how horrifying their lives are and the everyday trauma these Palestinians are feeling. It wouldn’t. So far Gulf countries, Egypt and Jordan are really trying hard to stay neutral and deal with everyone similar to what India is doing. If a war erupts they won’t be able to take Israels side. And they would be forced to lean east. It happened before in Egypt in the late fifties. Gulf nations back then were nothing compared to now. The middle east shifting east will be a very big blow to the west. And everyone will feel it. So basically the west is willing to sacrifice relations with 8 countries having 200 million people and $6 trillion GDP ppp combined economies for its unconditional support to israel

I think the term settler should be done away with as it doesn't really tell the full story of what they are doing as it gives the impression of someone making a settlement on unoccupied land when really they are evicting people gun point and stealing land. Maybe invader occupier?

Dear Owen, thank you for doing your job as a journalist, i cry with you for the Palestinian children and fathers and mothers everyday because i it is natural and healthy and imperative that we empathise with all of life and protect all of life with our words and actions.
