Thank you for another excellent presentation. When Layan says ‘we’re the moral majority…,’ and generally speaks of ‘morality,’ I can’t help but feel downcast because the people she’s appealing to are the least moral among collective humanity; in fact they’re the polar opposite. When Brian spoke, ironically I presume, earlier of the US’s ‘nation building’ efforts over the past two decades, and they had all been failures, to that I would say sir you’re right, but that this ‘failure’ is intentional. We, as people of the global south, really don’t have yet a clear conception of what is at the heart of western ideological, political and economic machinations. In essence, these do have a common purpose,’ one that is not avoid; white, supremacist racist hegemony over the our world and its resources.
