If I'm a parent paying for my kids education I'd be thinking twice about sending my kid to schools allowing such protest and disrupting classes like this. This is disgraceful.

One the one side you have a 9 year old girl who was taken hostage in a premeditated act of pure evil, and on the other side you see a bunch of spoilt brats at an American university who are utterly oblivious of how deeply disturbing and distasteful their actions really are.

As a father of a 9 year old girl, I shake with anger when I think of what poor Emily and her father are going through. To see these students, who don't have any understanding of what this is all about, not only disgusts me it makes me furious. Our governments are complicit in the radicalization of our own citizens and the violence that will no doubt come with it.

Bloody disgraceful that this is allowed to happen on University grounds. If this was done on any decent workplace facility...it would be immediate stand down and or dismissal. This is not free speech

They are influenced by non-storyline short videos that don't allow people to understand the whole situation. Many content creators on social networking sites show only bits that can be easily twisted, but the young generation exposed to these videos believes in the 60-second clips

What I want to know is how are those students finding the time to protest. I mean shouldn't they be in class at their desks and studying?

This is new to me. When I was in university in the 70's, the Iranians captured US citizens and held them hostage for over 400 days. Some of the Iranian students thought it was a good idea to celebrate that event until the engineering students taught them otherwise. I doubt these students fully understand the whole story and what they're really for. It is not a good thing on many levels.

Students having a protest, calling for a ceasefire, or saying "Let Gaza Live".... none of these are "ugly incidents." Their lie-ins and disruptions are part of what demonstrations and free speech are all about. If there have been actual incidents of Jewish students being harassed or swastikas painted on doors, then let's hear about the specifics of who it happened to, how frequent that is, and what's been done to address it. Those would be genuine problem behaviors requiring discipline at the university. If the issue is that the protesters are disrupting classes, okay, then address that. But to simply claim that there are "ugly incidents" and then show only images of demonstrations....to simply ASSERT that the protesters "support and encourage terrorist acts" is just an assertion and apparently a total projection, since that's not what's being shown. If there is proof that the bulk of the protesters are hatefully targeting minority groups, why isn't that proof being shown? Herzog said it's allowable to criticize Israel and it's actions, yet they act all offended that they're saying that Israel is committing genocide on the Palestinians? That counts as a criticism of an action, it also counts as free speech. People have been accused of "genocide" by our so-called leaders and the mainstream media for actions far less, well, genocidal, than what Israel is doing now. If you disagree, fine, great. You can't just call people anti-semitic horrible monsters for trying to stop the slaughter of thousands and thousands and thousands of innocent civilians. If you don't see it that way, then just let them be wrong. Know that it's how THEY see it. Why would you call someone hateful who at least BELIEVES, even if you don't believe it, that they are standing up for the rights of thousands of innocent civilians to continue drawing breath? Just because someone doesn't want 10,000 + people to be killed in retaliation for the killing of 1,400, doesn't in any universe mean you think they somehow approve of or don't condemn the killing of the 1,400. What utter nonsense. The big center of this newscast is showcasing and grotesquely exploiting the father's pain who lost his daughter, to get the viewer's logic to shut down. His tragedy is indeed ultimate, and nothing could be worse than that. That doesn't mean it's okay to go and inflict that same exact pain on ten or twenty times as many other innocent people, who weren't responsible for it. If anything, it means the exact opposite. I suppose everyone on this comment section believes that all Palestinians are directly responsible for that little girl's kidnapping and death - well, that's what's "low IQ" here.

That guy from "Ireland" and his daughter are not even Jewish in my opinion, maybe half or one quarter, and that's the joke - I know many families who've emigrated to Israel who have absolutely zero connection with the country, cannot speak Hebrew, and have only ONE grandparent who is Jewish (in fact, several of them never even knew they had a Jewish grandparent), and yet they have the right to go and emigrate to Israel, even to the West Bank if they want to, whereas Palestinians who were kicked out in 1948 or in 1967, and who were born in what is now Israel and whose presence there dates back many generations, many of whom owned property there and still have the deeds to prove it, are forced to rot in Gaza or in refugee camps in Jordan or Lebanon. The whole thing is quite disgusting.

I am not Jewish, Moslem or Christian but I find it extremely difficult to understand the out pouring of grief solely for the Palestinians killed as collateral damage in Gaza. The first thing that should be done is to deny any and all of those campuses and those students any and all federal funds. The second thing to do is fine each of those institutions 200% of their endowments. The third thing to do is to is permanently revoke their tax-exempt status.

Why tell her his daughter is alive? He had made piece with her death. Now he has to mourn all over again on a daily basis. That was cruel.
