TY for this teaching. When pre-tribbers quote 1 Thess 4:16-17, it is taken out of context. I encourage them to Read the chapter and read also 2 Thess 2. Too many want to cling to the comfort of being raptured before things get rough. We have it easy in N Amer compared to countries where many are today imprisoned, tortured, and/or killed for their faith.

It's true. This became a Salvation Issue. The snare was set because many believers thought that they would not be here on earth for the mark of the beast (a snare catches folks/animals in their daily habits and way of life; the victims do not realize it until it is too late).

The Ketubah was not always used in the Bible. The Ketubah is a unilateral, contract (covenant) that only the man and two kosher witness signed. The bride did not make any wedding vows. By accepting and drinking the wine (blood of the grape) she entered into a covenant with him. This is called the offer, acceptance, and consideration. Such as Jesus passed his cup to the deciples and had them drink (representing the Church). They entered into a covenant with him (betrothal). The potential groom made an agreement with the brides father for the “price.” She was acquired and the father’s authority was passed on to him. We see that in the Old Testament and the New as the Church is the Bride of Christ. So, we can relate Old Testament stories with the New Testament doctrine of Jesus and the Church. Easy. Jesus came from the Father. He was “sent.” The Old Testament says, a man shall leave his “mother and father” (Abraham sent his servant to get a wife for his son, Issac) and cleave to his wife. There is a leaving (sending) and cleaving. The woman stayed at home until the man (raptured) came to take her to himself. He will call her name at night (a time she does not know and not expecting). If she is ready, she will come to him when he calls. She will recognize him (voice and persons). Then they enter the marriage supper of the Lamb. Joel is correct, the supper represents the consummation (final in Latin). The final culmination of all things concerning the Church. The taking away the bride is the rapture. She is taken in the clouds to heaven (new place). She will rest from all her works. The written form of the covenant was not official until the Sanhidren accepted this (400 year old) practice because they were having a problem with young men marrying women (as the story goes). The ketubah lessened the bride price by making the man promise to pay a high fine if he divorces her without their consent or if he dies (so she will get an inheritance). Something to that extent. But in the Old Testament we do not see the Ketubah practiced. We see an agreement between the young man and the woman’s father. After the price was paid, he could take her anytime he wishes. He would usually leave and go and prepare a place for them, and after so many days (either at his father’s approval or according to what was socially exceptable) he would come for her at night. Made it easier for her to recognize his voice. And he would come with lights and a trail of people (another tradition but not always biblically required). There was no rapture but when he took her home. And they became one flesh and celebrated for seven days (her week). After seven days, God rested from all his work. There is a celebration for a week, then eternal rest…

When people I know die I cry for my lose. But most of all I cry because they missed the prize. They didn't even try.

Is the 7 feast of the Lord also mean prophetic? The 4 feast has been fulfilled. If the order of the last 4 year came in order, how about the last 3 remain? I have a question for Joel Richardson. Where does it say that the lost will burn it in lake of fire for eternity? Isn't it the Shekinah (as in fire by night or the burning bush) that never dies. This topic is very similar to the Catholic church believing and teaching the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception. The apparition at Lourdes identified itself as "the Immaculate Conception", but at no time did it also identify itself as "Mary". That was an ASSUMPTION made by the church. For all we know, the apparition could have been Satan the devil. See 2 Cor 11:14. Following this apparition, the church made statues, named them "The Immaculate Conception", and placed them in most churches. If the apparition was Satan (a very real possibility), then the statue represents the devil. Thus people, when kneeling before this statue and saying a prayer to the entity it represents, could be at risk of saying a prayer to the devil? Before we believe something, we should make sure it is correct.

What does Joel Richardson want to prove? He wants to boast about himself and show that he is more worthy and courageous because he believes he will pass through the great tribulation more than those who believe they will escape through the rapture of the Church? Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

The pre trib rapture was not invented only 200 years ago. It's all throughout the Bible! Read it for yourself.

Joel isn’t being honest and he knows it. Many early Church Father’s spoke of the Church being taken away or removed, before the Tribulation. Here’s just one! Victorinus wrote in his “Commentary on Revelation” dated AD 240, in the section on Rev 6:14 he writes this, “The sky being split apart like a scroll is the church being taken away.” This is set in the context where he hasn’t discussed the Tribulation events having already occurred. In addition, there are extra biblical books that are mentioned in the Bible, where the authorship isn’t in question, at all, that say exactly the same thing. In 2 Esdras 6: 26, a book in the 1611 KJV, Ezra states, “Then the men who have been taken up, who have not tasted death since their birth, will see it.” His reference is to them seeing what the earth looks like AFTER the Tribulation that they missed. You may not like Enoch, but it claims to be a book written for a remote people who would live in the end of days and it also says that the Holy and the Elect are removed, so that when the world sees it that they would come to repentance. If the Rapture happens at the end of the Tribulation there’s no time to repent! It’s all over! You may not agree with these, but thats not relevant. Joel claims a Pre-Trib rapture is a recent invention. It is not, it’s as old as the dirt. Joel just doesn’t like it, so he denies these text are accurate, but that’s not relevant. They exist! Don’t let this one sided talk fool you, Joel gets very nasty to people that stand up to him. Claiming those who believe in a Pre-Trib rapture are the greatest threat to Christianity. IMO, Joel is the greater threat, since he’s the one that’s lying!

Paul says the Lawless one will sit on the Mercy Seat in the temple of God? No. He said he will sit in the temple of God and exults himself above all that is called God. (That is the very definition of Islam's deity Allah 1.57 Billion followers) How close to mount Zion does the false prophet (lawless one) need to put his temple as he proclaims himself as God? It is already on top of Mount Zion to fulfill what Paul wrote in 2 Thessalonians 1:1 - 2:17. And the strong delusion is already upon the world of Non-Christians. This is all my own opinion of course. I stand alone with Jesus Christ. The rapture can happen any moment now.
