Binyamin Netanyahu's spokeswoman has called on "the nations of the civilised free world, nations who despise terrorists and anyone who supports them, to stand by Israel".
The appeal, made by Tal Heinrich during a press briefing, comes after the International Criminal Court said it would seek arrest warrants against Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, and Yoav Gallant, the defence minister, as well as Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar, Mohammad Deif and Ismail Haniyeh for alleged war crimes.
The Israeli leaders and the Hamas militants are accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
