They tried to live with the people who live in Gaza. Israel evacuated Gaza September 22, 2005 and gave that land to the Arabs who lived in the area because they kept trying to murder the Israelis.They thought if they were able to form their own government they would live in peace. Then they put up a fence because the Gazans kept coming over to murder them.
