Dear friends,
back at Ramstein Air Base. We recorded these clips during the last weeks and month.
The United States Air Force E-3G 75-0558 552nd Air Control Wing/964th Airborne Warning and Control Squadron left Ramstein Air Base now - it was so nice to see! A last capture is inside this video. Of cause, there are also many other interesting planes and helicopters inside this clips.
Some of my personal highlights:
- The Gulfstream "United States of America" (06-0500) - this is the BEST livery for this jet!
- Apache and Black Hawk Helicopters - some rare catches
- Multiple C-5 and C-17 recordings during retracting their gears
- Israeli Air Force 707 from Nevatim Air Base performing a really HARD & bouncing landing...
- Federal Aviation Administration Challenger 604

Die AWACS sind sehr interessante Flugzeuge. Wenn man mal bedenkt wie alt die Basis mittlerweile ist sie aber immer noch zuverlässig ihren Dienst tun. Da tut einem die gegenwärtige Realität um die letzten Vierstrahler im Passagierdienst richtig weh...In meinem Fall das traurige Schicksaal um den A380 vor allem, den man bei gewissen Airlines schon "verwertet" und er ist noch nicht mal "richtig eingeflogen". Die Aufnahmen in Ramstein sind jedes mal wieder interessant! Vielen Dank an das Team das ihr uns ein Stück Normalität in dieser irren Zeit ermöglicht!

I LOVE the upper gear doors on the C-17 that allow the struts to tuck into the sides of the fuselage. A fantastic piece of engineering indeed.

The wheels rotate through 90 ° as they're raised, they seemed to be just wobbling a bit

Most probably a bad bogie dampner. I guarantee they heard it bouncing around and wouldn't be surprised if there was some damage to the pitch actuator or something else in the wheel well. Definitely not supposed to do that.

Some great video here. I'm a retired aircraft mechanic in the US and to see the C-17's spoilers from behind was eye-opening for me. Never seen that view. Thanks, keep up the good videos.

The C-5s were outfitted with the newer quieter engines. Kinda liked the old engines sound with that turbine whine.

Da ist ja ne Menge los, einige von den C130 fliegen bei mir als übers Haus. Für gute Fotos oft zu hoch. Fahre evtl. mal hin, hab nur 60km und die Kamera auch. Interessant sind die Tankflieger, wenn sie ihre Runden drehen mit den F16 oder Eurofighter hinten dran. Top Aufnahmen, danke dafür.

Great compilation with succinct and informative text supporting good footage - easily the best plane spotting work I've seen (too many calling the KC135 a 707 etc.) - with sincere appreciation from way down in NZ. I hope there's more to come

its crazy how many 707 variants are still used by the military, much less with original low bypass engines. Youd think we would have 767 replacements for all those by now not just a few tankers. Dont know how they keep those old engines going theyve got to run out of spare parts at some point.
