A few months ago i got the K98 ISRAELI MAUSER in 7.62.. 308 and wasn't sure what i had. Watch the video and leave me a comment to help me out. I got my Israeli 762 Mauser 38 years ago when I was still in high school. Turns out it was one of the best purchases I ever made, it has seen frequent use over all those years and is still as accurate as ever. You look to have gotten a nice example and I hope yours gives you as much service as mine has given me.

We’ve had an Israeli Mauser for about 20 years. I’m still trying to work out a few problems but, overall, a very cool rifle. A really neat piece of history.

As Israel became a state, they needed about any rifle they could get. They got many Mausers from Czechoslovakia and South America after the became a state. If you get one that was German, I have read those were smuggled in by the Haganah prior to statehood. My Israeli Mauser started out as a G98 in WWI, was cut down at some point to a K98K, and made it to Israel (weird that it has both a Waffenamt and a Star of David on it). As Israel adopted the FAL, these would get converted to 7.62 NATO for caliber consolidation.

What are the price differences between A, B and C grade rifles? Did you think it worth the extra coin to move to A grade? Thanks for all your great content.

Hey Mark I paid $400 for that A grade No parts missing great bore no rust.." The Casual Collector "got a B grade $300 and not a lot of difference .. look for his video.. its out there. You know there not advertised yet so the prices might change. Also the parts for the MAUSER are easy to find to. I will tell you surplus from Hunters Lodge is hit or miss.. Ya can't go wrong with a .308, 7.62x51 Nato rifle and a K98 action as long as the bore is still good.....good deal n be well.

Howdy Bloodcount on shipping i would just add $40.. then on your order page give them your FFL address and your C&R and your Email. If they have any questions they will Email you. That's what i been doing. Also it takes like 5/6 weeks to get it. you know there are differnt grades that one you see in my video was an A grade. Or Email them and ask how much it is total. on your Email or your order put ATT. JAMES tell him you saw it on the guy from IDAHO You Tube video. 😁I subed ya too .. THX for watching.

Man I have been trying for months to get in touch with anyone at hunters lodge I find it intresting that youre actually able to do videos on anything from them whats the trick? Im begining to think you and casual are in buisness with them only to generate ad revenue on youtube

Horton hello.. No not in business with them. do you get firearms news ? Do you see a rifle you want ? Send in that money by a PO money order or your check and all your info.. Email phone # shipping address your FFL address or your C&R. And just wait it takes like 4/5 weeks. Now the best time to call is late in the after noon James MIGHT answer. You can Email them and ask how much with shipping. Horton they do business real old school over there. They got the goods and haven't let me down YET lol. The bore is good it does shoot good to but it shoots a bit to the left, i am working on that. I just ordered a CZ 27 from Hunters.. gonna need a GRIP ,GRIP SCREWS and a MAGIZNE. $225 for the pistol $175 more for the parts $400 total not bad. will have a video out some time. Is that 1905 gonna need some work ? OK THANKS for watching WOLF see ya soon.

@@RUSTYSURPLUS ,James said they might need some work...I wanted one of the S&W Model 65's in .,357 Magnum that need some work BUT they didn't fall into my C&R🤬.So I got the K98K and the Model 1905...

Shawn ya they haven't been in Firearms News yet. I think they have them there and have sold a few of them from the videos that people have made. James over there told me that he hasn't had time or the people to grade them. Email them and ask how much they want for one and the price for each grade. As you might know it takes them for EVER to respond. THANKS for watching RUSTY.

@@RUSTYSURPLUS Have you noticed any difference with "hand select". I'm skeptical because although I like James, the last round he told me he would get me "a nice one" and the stock was broken apart, not cracked, but split completely through and missing pieces.

All so Drop the you tube channel "THE CASUAL COLLECTOR" he is a friend and has a you tube channel too. Once again they send out 100/150 rifles a week there.. the old fashion way. arron they have quit answering's the phone there. The best way is to Email them and ask how much for the item you want and how much for shipping. 931 766 0755 is there # and if they answer it is best to call in the afternoon there time. arron i know they have lots of the Isreal 7.62 NATO Mausers there and the prices range on the grade. That one was real nice and it costs me $350. OK later and i subed ya too.

@RUSTYSURPLUS do you happen to know if they have a set price per rifle for shipping or is it a "per order" type of situation? I'm trying to pick up a 1943 Spanish Mauser (which I see you bought from them) and an Arisaka barreled action. I've never ordered from them, and as you know they don't exactly make it easy.

@@arrondentinger2086 You know they have the 1943 Mausers for $98 and the 7.62 Nato Iserali Mausers.. There are 3 grades of them. The one you see in my video is a top grade.
