I read one random comment somewhere in Internet. The Reason One Piece is better than Naruto is that the plotholes are somehow managed in a great way by Oda. After reading that comment i started seeing Naruto in a completely new perspective, Naruto as a story has so many plotholes. One Piece also has its own plotholes but The author somehow closes them in the later story or manages the plotholes to be at a bare minimum. Boruto is facing the worse extreme of plotholes.

I always thought Jigen/Isshiki was a stupid character just off the shear fact that he was an OP godlike character and had no motivation besides getting more powerful but the OP rod shrinking ability just confirms it. Could’ve just placed them in Naruto and Sasuke’s brain and KO. Literally no other way to explain why he didn’t other than plot.

He deserved way better than what he got- more time and an *actual* flesh-out (as does the entire Otsutsuki atp). Its just so clear to me that they made him just come and go as a means of plot device to further propel Kawaki's growing descent into an antagonist. Feels like they didn't care to put half the effort into formulating his character than they did when he was Jigen and even then, its pretty meh given that was just his cover identity overall. Kara as a splinter cell organization in the shinobi world as well as an Otsutsuki willing to be cordial with humans could have been explored way more than it was(nt) here. Apart from being baffled at how the plot really just shifts a guy's intelligence mid-fight or makes it seem like he wants to kill them only to be unable to despite having the capacity of doing so outright, the fact that he didnt even get an interaction with Momo or was even used as a means to explore context of the clan just further tells me he was brought in for a simple purpose for the story for Kawaki and nothing further. They really just made this allegedly overwhelming & intense character meant to be a worse threat than their previous ones- and then proceeded to undermine that contextualization with his own actions. Like theres so much "holing" to his encounter in the question of "why didn't he just do this/that" and it really sullies him as an antagonist if not outright makes him look dumb at certain moments. They prob just didn't care about Isshiki like that and were sure enough to be able to conjure a way to get rid of him after introducing him and to ensure it was carried out even if the process of doing that occasionally ignored some of his own facets. Its sad cuz I like him and i rly wanted to see a bit more exploration.

9:24 Tbf there's no rule that states that all Otsutsukis should share the same level of sensory abilities. Everybody has their strengths and weaknesses, and that should apply to Otsutsukis as well. It makes sense that Isshiki's lack of sensory ability is just one of his weaknesses, according to Amado words, Kaguya caught Isshiki off guard and ended up splitting the dude in half. It's consistent with him not being able to tell Sasuke's and Kawaki's location when they were hiding from him. The only negative I see is that the characters just don't pick up on it, especially Sasuke of all people who seen it work. It's just a shame that an obvious weakness like that wasn't taken into account by the cast fighting him.

• I don't agree with the criticism of "Isshki taking his time to retrieve Kawaki," _he used_ the faux crisis of recovering Kawaki to weed out the traitor in Kara; he pretty much states this, and that is why Kashin Koji is shitting bricks when he sees him appear in the village. As for "doesn't know if he's getting beaten or damaged"...what? He _knew_ he was safe in Kohana just from Koji & Kara's info network (they had spies even _in_ the village), so Isshki knew Kawaki was safe, and this worked to his advantage since it kept the _other_ Karma vessel (necessary for a world tree) nearby (thus the later remark about "it's a shame Bortuo isn't here" when he arrives) • Stormtrooper aim for Isshki shooting rods is exaggerated; you aim to shoot for mass when firing projectiles, and your examples don't add up [12:49 Naruto's moving out of the way because he knows something coming, 12:52 is when Sasuke begins to notice the rods and is moving to avoid vitals, 12:53 aiming for mass, 12:56 homie they dodged lol, 12:58 two of them miss and he's aiming for mass + gets lucky with the arm, 13:00 since we know how Sukunahikona & Daikokuten work he had to have planted these like caltrops, 13:06 whittling down Naruto to crush him with a disruption cube is fine?, 13:15 he wasn't originally aiming for Sasuke and the surfboards him shortly after). Projectile spam in Boruto is consistent with prior material also because _Haku had to do the same thing_ in his fight against the two of these goons all those years ago. • The comparison between Isshki's mastery of his jutsu and Kawaki's is mentioned later on in the manga when Kawaki is fleeing the village just before Ada finds him and causes Omnipotence; it was stated that Isshki had _tremendous_ mastery and little chakara expenditure using the move compared to Kawaki who is still a novice. Also, the point of shrinking the pillars was just as much for ammo as it was to remove hiding spots for Koshi. • 19:21 Kaguya's & Toneri absorption mid fight was also pretty lacking, and testing what Isshki can/can't do I think is fine because it force him to be sedentary & stalls him. • 26:29 *PLEASE DO NOT USE STROBE-LIKE EFFECTS IN YOUR VIDEOS* , they don't add anything and are nauseating to look at best, and an epileptic episode at worst. Your point about the arm is valid. Isshki being a "monologuing a-typical villain" is more subjective (personally, I thought the anime did a great job of showing an abusive parent vs loving) and that's the point of his character, but the manga _was_ lacking in delivering the message in a concrete way. We'll see if Kishimoto can turn it around now that he's at the helm.

Great video👍 The only points I have contention with are "every otsutsuki having absorbtion but not isshiki", im not even sure kaguya had that and even if she did it was cuz of earth's fruit rinnesharingan. Only momo seems to have a built in absorption ability(and momo is already lame enough they dont wanna make him more lame by giving it to all otsutsukis, even thought they made it a default karma ability😂) As for isshiki not sensing kawaki, it could be that karma was like a wifi that connected data in kawaki to isshiKi through internet but now with no karma data in kawaki is offline and cant be accesed wirelessly.

Ngl It's the manga being monthly that made most of these characters don't get the depth they deserve cause if the authors was to focus on these characters getting depths we would be getting so many build ups and back story and we would never reach anywhere in the story which is why these villains came by so fast cause if we were to really focus on things like making the villains good and having depth we would probably still be in the momoshiki arc right now ....boruto manga has been running for 7 YEARS!! And only has 80 chapters ..ain't no way we could have fitted so much depth and back story and philosophy in such short amount of chapters or else the timeskip would have happen in 2030 or sum shit

In the Naruto anime, only Madara and Obito gave me chills. Both were cruel and calculating, always seeking an optimal way to get results. They didn't even spare their own kin. In Boruto, Isshiki alone gave that vibes. If they gave the same amount of development Madara and Obito got to Isshiki, everybody would praise him as the best villain in the sequel. He emotionally manipulated Kara along with Kawaki. With brutality beating Naruto and Sasuke. Making even Otsutsuki fear him. Isshiki got everything to make a worthy villain since Madara. But, he will remain forgotten compared to Madara and Obito.

For the arm part. Maybe kurama allowed that even tho naruto was out. Remember that kurama had a talk with kawaki and wouldn't alow him to leave without narutos permission. So maybe it was kurama alowing a little bit of chackra for his arm to work telling everyone he's still alive

The Clown meme was great! LOL. I think the Author had the right intention, but did not follow through based on those examples you've pointed out. Any Villain of all works of Fiction should be the the true Author of the Hero's demise. I feel Isshiki is a throw away character. He was never intended to be a main villain, but just a Boss you fight at the end of a quest/mission in a video game. There's definitely too much plot armor here. Momoshiki fits more of the convention of being the Author of the Hero's demise even though he isn't that much better than Isshiki. I hope the anime can do filler episodes to help polish up the plot holes.

Isshiki acnowledged that he probably has days to live and still wasted time monologing to Koji when he was going to kill him anyway and hell he even failed at that. No wonder Kaguya wrecked this guy hell even she wasen't half as brain dead as Isshiki after being seald for a thousand years. I guess his major flaw is extremly arrogance to the point that the supposedly strongest Otsutsuki looks like a complete jobber who was outsmarted by a shadow clone when he has a damn byakugan. In shippuden the one Otsutsuki we saw was clearly detached from humanity and just alien while in Boruto 3/4 are just cartoonishly evil monster just because and the last guy is basically just a brute.

The writers of data book on ôtsutsuki made the mistakes. If you think about it, Only Kaguya Ursahsiki Momoshiki People with rennegan (asuuuming Hagoromo)Tenseigan assuming Hamura Have been shown to absorb chakra. And all 📴 them do it with deffrent effectiveness and method. Kinshiki and Ishikki didn't show that. Jigen did but like you said maybe it's just the karma 👀

He looked down on humans, that they couldn’t do anything to him, that why he never tried too much. He was never show to sense people unlike momo that was show doing it. If he could sense he wouldn’t have come looking for kawaki, in the village. For example I’m 7ds some characters can sense but some can’t sense, at the same time. We can’t imagine isshiki can sense without the author showing it once happening.
