Nah. That front wheel isn't overcoming any forces. He's just trying to make sure that when the tire reconnects to the pavement it is at the proper angle and slant to prevent him from high-siding the bike.

@@dcormanwrong. A highside is caused by uncontrolled slip and grip of the rear tyre. He is literally steering the bike with that front wheel. A forged front wheel with tyre weighs about 4.5kg and exerts huge gyro forces while it's spinning

It's why the compeditors and winners are held in such high regard. Bravery and ability. Great shot of a bike at the limit of performance. Many have perished racing here.
