@@SilverSaiyanAce It's more like a misunderstanding caused by journalists that wanted a good headline. Most of the brain is active most of the time, and most of it is involved in one way or another with cognition or sensory processing, which is very closely linked to cognition. The automatic stuff like breathing, regulating heartbeat, and digestion is mostly handled by the brainstem and cerebellum with some assistance from the rest of the brain and the body for regulation, though the heart can beat on its own if supplied with blood. Also, walking is entirely voluntary movement and not automatic, which is why it takes us years of practice to get decent at it. You're just so used to it that it feels automatic now.

Yep, there are domesticated foxes, the issue is that foxes' solitary nature makes them completely untrainable, which is one of the reasons they're terrible pets. Animals which naturally form social groups, like packs for dogs, or colonies for cats, will generally be at least somewhat trainable, since they understand "cooperate for mutual benefit". Foxes are too independent, the people who were trying to domesticate them couldn't do anything about it bc while you might be able to breed an instinct or trait out of an animal, you can't breed one *in*.

Back when I was a kid and almost exclusively drank soda, I would gag every time I tried to drink water. Nowadays I mostly drink tap water though, with soda once every week or three.

My mom isn't really able to drink water, she said it started when she was a early teen, one day at school the sewage got mixed into the water line and contaminated every water fountain to the point of changing cause of kids getting sick and a handful being hospitalized, she only drinks either small bottle water or specifically natural spring water, tap water will make her sick, she's 47, I personally only likes water at night but mostly uses water for herbal teas like vanilla chia(black tea with vanilla and spices, really good I buy a box every 2 months)

I drink water every day. Practically 24/7. I don't really drink energy drinks. Hardly ever. When it's not water, it's usually either some sinaasappelsap or multisap for the vitamins, some homemade choccy-milk for the calories so I don't starve again, or some lemonade for tasty and refreshing. But usually it's just water and one multisap. It helps that I live in the Netherlands, where the water is REALLY clean, and the tapwater I get is even then some of the cleanest. It is possible that my tapwater is among the cleanest tapwater in the world.
