I had made a note on my calendar months ago that Pearl and Marilyn would be due Sep 2. This was after watching LHL video from a while ago where Waylon was put with Marilyn and Pearl when both were in heat. Counted the days and calendared it!

The rain is coming down so hard. I'm so happy the hay field at Plumb Grove has been fertilized then the rain came down. The bulls like the rain and showing us they don't need shelter, lol. The cows show no sign of new life as of yet. They will come soon. Lester thinks Gracie will be first. Thanks for showing all the babies. 😊

Hey Jami, I'm in NW LOWER MICHIGAN right along the shoreline, and 2 nights ago, we had what the weatherman called a METEOTSUNAMI. Ton of wind, rain, trees, and lines down. Power out 25 hrs. Apparently, a wall of water hit our beach ⛱️ Sounded like a train coming through. So sorry for the loss of Chip.❤😢 I am praying 🙏 for your Grandma. ❤😊

You guys have really transformed the JL Ranch! It’s awesome! Many farmers and ranchers could learn a lot about how to have a main home (LHL) and still have a living quarters at a different property. Jami you need to add rubber bracelets like Jason at Cog Hill Farm for watering reminders. 😊

Hey Jami, it's great that you got that rain because you don't have to water the new grass at LHL. We got 1 1/4" here in Indiana the last 2 days plus it's cool way down looking at tonight getting down to mid 50's & the high this weekend they are calling low 80's. Great, now I can get out & finish that wood splitting. I am thinking y'all will have a couple of new babies next week so you could have a firecracker baby. I don't know if it was because of the drought situation or because she's kind of a small cow not long and lean like her mother and Pearl. Well, actually, the bulls are pretty smart because those shelters are way too close to that tree and if lightning strikes a tree, it will go into the ground and anything near that tree will get electrocuted, I’ve seen news reports of it happening before.

I love the old truck being used as a tie-up for the horses… I think it would be cool if they could secure it somehow or even put tack box that is lockable on the back of that truck or in the cab as the tack room. On one side, possibly the backside an awning of some kind with a concrete pad to stand the horse on padded of course for bathing. Love love love that.
