Building JDM classics is incredibly expensive.. Even Honda's... Im into my 06 Type S almost $30K... Every part in that car is an Authentic JDM part.. I was able to source some really rare JDM parts including the original Mugen SS's BRAND NEW!.. Have the Type R center Console conversion, original Dc5 black recaro's, The Aspec lip kit and pretty much every Honda Access part(fogs, window Visors, ect..).. Have an Original Mugen Strut Bar, Original Mugen wing, Original Mugen Twin Loop cat back.. Engine and trans are both Type R, altho I built a K24a2 block for the Jdm K20A head to gain some torque..

@@ayowser01 Its a Type R trans, so it came with LSD... But It has since been completely rebuilt. Quaife ATB Helical LSD, Albins Forged Helical Gears 1-4 with Syncro engagement. Heavy Duty Pro Series Carbon Syncros from Syncrotech, and 4.7FD.. If you are looking for a similar build to mine, there is one for sale on FB marketplace in PA. Its Blue 06. $13K asking. Only 70K original miles. Its a steal and will prob be gone soon.

All these ppl complaining about the ‘low’ horse power don’t understand the essence of Honda performance cars from the 90s and 2000’s. Should he have forgone this and that so he could strap on a turbo and make x horse power?? Maybe. But perhaps he appreciates things like the Red ITR recaro seats and the Red cover B18c turboless as intended from the factory more. His choice.

Ok so keep the B18C1 and just don’t go crazy with the Type R mods (Really a clock delete kit??? Come on…) and your down to like 15k… That’s honestly not bad for a really clean Integra build. Glad to see how much potential their is, just picked up a Cypress Green Pearl 97 GSR project as my new daily (16mpg in my suv is killing me 😂), the car is far from perfect but over time I’ll slowly make it into the exact build I want, minus all the nit picky Type R bits, I’ll be keeping my AC thank you very much! 😂

Clean ride but dangg thts expensive, coulda K-swapped that thing and mke 230whp with fbo. Or turbo K series. Everything you bought was great but those headers... i think theres better brands than DC sports.

Seems like with a built motor it should make more power. Something is holding it back. I dont think he mentioned injectors. Maybe it needs a race header. Fuel pump. There has to be more power in that motor. I have seen people make over 200 with just full bolt ons with b series engines. Nevertheless its a very impressive and serious build so far

Mine hit 223 with sleeves and forged pistons. Added 120 shot of nitrous just for fun. Cost 12k for motor work, bolt ons, trans work, and twin disk clutch. I thought it was crazy expensive but after driving it I'm glad I did it.

So this guy at my work bought his 97 GSR from the dealership and kept it completely stock. In 2020 he bought a Civic SI and they were only going to give him 500 in trade for his GSR so he came to work and asked who wanted the car and ended up selling it to me for 700. Since then, every other week or so someone asks to buy the car because they say it's getting hard to find them "unriced" and it's sort of funny to me cus I've never had a car someone else wanted lol.

Dont feel bad, I make 4 times what you make and I still cant afford to spend this much on cars but when I was 29 I finally made enough to go buy a kswap 97 ITR cash (my dream car) . It helps if you don’t have a house and bills. I assume these kids dont own houses? Dont compare yourself to others haha as hard as it is sometimes. I dont know the history on these kids but they definitely like working on cars. But yeah, being young starting out and having to pay rent (or even not paying rent) it’s definitely near impossible to spend what these kids are spending unless your going to the bank to ask for money. Some kids are lucky to be able to borrow money from parents being as the bank wont let them borrow money. Keep workin at it!

First off all, calling BS on the pricing. A lot of those parts you mentioned are WAAAYY cheaper even retail price. Secondly, how you going spend 5k on an engine and then add on 300-500$ on “reseal kits/gasket” knowing damn well that’s included in an “engine build”. Let’s be real now guys.. I have a 98 RS with J front and most the mods mentioned, so I know damn well it ain’t no 20k! Sorry not sorry

Like I mentioned in the video, we got certain parts off other cars that we bought. I took the engine from another car which was BUILT but had some miles on it. Since it was used, I needed to spend some money refreshing it. Im listing things that I've done. Part pricing varies depending on where you're from and the condition it is in. A lot of used JDM front ends come with crappy and foggy headlights but I got mines that were super clear costing more money.
