Why everyone has problem with her age rather than focusing on her acting part? People never change. That same old mentality especially with women
@sainarockz14 күн бұрын
The problem isn’t that she looks too matured. She just looks too powerful and less vulnerable. Some degree of vulnerability was needed in this role.

🎯 without reading the book you may not get your comment or see anything wrong with the casting but having read it I completely agree. It has nothing to do with her age. Blake lively is just amazingly confident not to mention absolutely in your face stunning and Lilly is a bit of a meek character.

This seems like a good movie to watch. Justin Baldoni; that's the guy who played Rafael on the show "Jane The Virgin." Blake Lively looks beautiful in this movie. I will think about watching this movie in the movie theaters on August 9th.

Blake looks the part. So what if she is older thn the character...so many male hollywood actors play characters much younger thsn them why can't blake?

Blake is way too old to play Lilly and this trailer shows the entire plot😂
@IeshiaCrofts15 күн бұрын
I agree that it shows the whole plot. But Colleen hadn’t done proper research, to be a surgeon you have to study for a long time and then you are at the lower end of the job. But Riley isn’t so technically he should be older then in the book so this movie is actually accurate for how old the characters should be

Oh come on my first book that I bought with my own money the movie trailer should not be this bad

no one said anything about ryle. in the book, ryle is around 34. lily on the other hand is 22, she just graduated college. the casting for him is fine, but lily and even atlas just look too old for the roles.

Wow! People in the comments are really superficial and even racist. Regardless how it was described in the book or what you imagined, that’s no excuse. Why can’t brown men get the same support that brown women get these days? As is, while progress has been made when it comes to diversity/inclusivity in female lead roles, which is good, notice how most male lead roles are still predominantly with white guys. Even couple movies, regardless the race of the girl, are usually paired with a white guy. In fact, most movies and shows have been mostly only promoting white man with brown woman couples the past years, and rarely is it the other way around. And now it’s got society brainwashed to only see white men with brown women couples as normalized or even idolized, meanwhile brown men with white women couples are looked at as “taboo”. It also seems like those are the two types of people that have been getting the most hate lately, brown men and white women. Why does everything have to be about white guys with blue eyes? Meanwhile it’s considered “unrealistic beauty standards”, “shallow” or “racist” if someone demands a white girl with blue eyes. They barely cast white girls with blue eyes anymore anyway. But society is probably not ready for this whole conversation.

I read the entire comment section and I saw no one say anything about the men except maybe 1 comment he was too old. But all the comments are saying she's too old. So what made you write your comment?

The casting is terrible. It seems lazy. It does not feel refreshing. I don’t feel any chemistry in the cast. It feels awkward and the director is a terrible actor. This is so disappointing.
