Every time Pennywise Was In The Background Of IT
The first one comes right at the beginning of the movie when Georgie is going down to the basement. Throughout the house there are several small images of Pennywise engrained into the wallpaper as Georgie make to get the wax and in a blink and you’ll miss it moment that roughly takes place over two frames, you may also notice his small shiny eyes watching the young boy at the top of the stairs as he descends into the basement.
Whilst he also appears later in the scene, hiding under the stairs, this is the first of many examples that show that he’s always one step behind his prey, constantly stalking them and waiting for the perfect moment to attack.
The Library Scene
Up next is the Library scene with Ben in which there are several minor appearances by Pennywise before he makes his final play and tries to attack the character. The first one comes in the form of the creepy librarian that slowly watches Ben as he reads about the history of Derry. Throughout the scene the mysterious librarian creepily stares at him, smiling as he digs deeper into what exactly may be going on in the town. It’s a really haunting scene and is something that I didn’t even pick up on my first couple of watches though the more you focus on the background of the scene, the more that you realise that Pennywise is slowly making his play.
Ben Gets Bullied
Soon after this scene, Ben is caught by Henry Bowers and we see a balloon pop up in the back window of a car during the attack as he calls out for help. This shows that Pennywise has a hold over the adults in Derry and is psychically controlling them so that they will appear nonchalant to any trouble that children in the area get into. Whilst this one is rather obvious it adds a nice amount of subtext to the city and definitely lets you know that Pennywise has the ability to reach into pretty much every aspect of Derry.

George Heilman sooo I know a lot about IT but my question is did he/she take over the librarians body or was it just an illusion and the lady wasn’t standing right there but IT made it appear that way? Also how does IT seem to always know where these children are ?

George Heilman Can Pennywise be everywhere at once because he seems to be able to control things with out actually being there physically like the scene in the house when IT was holding Eddie and also making Bill and Richie see things simultaneously.

@@merapewhistle6665 To answer both questions, It is omnipresent throughout Derry, and can appear in several different ways and places at once depending on who It wants to reveal itself to. This includes illusions specifically for a target that mask what is real (like the librarian, although Ben hadn't noticed) or controlling the minds of others to make them oblivious to Its presence. Being a cosmic, psychic monster, It can basically do whatever it wants without consequences. At least until the Losers fight back.

Spoiler (not huge, just a detail in a scene) In Chapter 2, during Ben's flashback where he's in the locker, there's a New Kids on the Block poster behind him and one of the members was just sort of creeping me out. His eyes were so bright in the dark locker and it really gave you the sense that Ben was being watched. Wouldn't you know it, when it pans forward a bit and he goes out of frame, once it goes back, Pennywise is in its place. I thought that was a really cool detail.

thank you Andrew i 100 % agree with you plus Tim Curry's is far far far better, i don't hate the new version but i hated the ending and there are certain other things that were changed that i hated as well. like for example though it's a deleted scene and it i hear may be in part 2 but Henry kills his friends it's on the 4K blu-ray and any other version i'm sure but that's NOT in the fucking book, Henry is by than completely taken over by Pennywise but he never killed any of his friends at all. he did threaten them but they were too scared shitless of him to confront him on how fucking nuts he became over the summer a good example is when haystack which is NOT in the fucking film another thing that should have been in the fucking film well when he gets cut even his friends think he's gone to far with that.

@@Astria1979 The show is absolutely amazing. Aside from the fact that it is really scary, the story, the plot twists and the cliffhangers alone should keep you glued to the screen. I went in wanting a good ol' scare but I got so much more. The show is good from a horror perspective as well. The ghosts are really original in design and creepy, and it doesn't rely on jumpscares almost at all, having only like 2-3 throughout the show. Despite that, even those are good and completely unexpected. A 10/10

Soo I watched the movie a second time and I noticed something. The color red represents"IT" in the movie for example the red balloon. BUT some characters wear in later scenes red clothes, like Henry when he's possessed and kills his father, or Beverly's father wearing a red t-shirt when he is also kind of used by the clown to scare her the most. So I thought it represents the possession of a character by the clown. But in the last shot the Jewish boy ( I forgot his name) also had a red shirt. But he was not "evil" right? But traumatized by that scary lady and he also kills him self later when "it" is back sooooo...idk I think it was a hint from the director that he is the one that had the most influence by the clown in the end

It should also be noted that Georgie's parents didn't care much about Georgie's disappearance. This could be the reason why the town is still populated while so many tragedies have occurred there. Pennyvise could somehow pacify the adults that they feel that everything is going normal. It ensures his existence a secret and also provides him with steady supply of children.

vignesh kr in the book though, Bill&George’s parents care a little bit more. Bill’s dad becomes really careless about Bill and what he does, unlike he was before, and his mother stops playing the piano since that’s what she was doing when Georgie died. They are very depressed afterwards and pay no attention to Bill, which makes him feel sad and also guilty about George’s death.

In the novel everyone in town is concerned and aware but are afraid to acknowledge the missing children. This reflects the 50s high context culture where everyone pretended that nothing bad happens to them.

I still feel the Pennywise could have killed them easily. If he couldn't because they weren't scared enough. He killed Georgy right when he was bonding with him. He wasnt scared of him when he ate his arm. Also they were terrified at the beginning then they got the courage after they survived several encounters with him. I never really got it

because reasons and the story needs to exist. Like in IT chapter 2 he just kills that kid under the bleachers without taunting her for his fear seasoning or the kid in the mirror room. They never explain why he needs that fear for some people and others he can just feast outright with no problems. They need a canonical reason why that happens not just a real world reason like padding out the run time.

In the book it describes how every time Georgie goes in the basement he is terrified of an imaginary creature down there that he made up in his head, and when Georgie first saw penny wise his first thought was that he looked just like the creature he was always terrified of seeing in the basement, so Georgie feared pennywise way before he saw him on the sewer. Thats the only explanation I can think of🤷‍♀️

I think you missed one. When Beverly's father is killed by Beverly you can see the father's hand turning into a demon like claw (like seen before in the scene at the well house) right before pulling the shower curtain she was hiding behind. This is important to the story as Pennywise takes on the shape what Beverly fears most, which is her abusive father. You can check out the scene on youtube. Please like so people can see this.

Talon Kruger I’m pretty sure if they added him that feature would be ignored, but he has all the traits for a great killer, example he feeds on fear, so he could have a similar ability to Michael Myers, where he scares them to get buffs or an activated ability

Talon Kruger possibly something like a mix of the doctor and hag could be cool, like a trap that would give them a fear effect and they have hallucinations of pennywise or the other monsters he can be, but they would slow down generators and stuff like that instead of making them scream like the doctor, and can be snapped out of it like in the end of it chapter one when they find the girl floating

@@melanierix no that is wrong. IT was inspired by two things. Neither of which was John Wayne Gacy. IT was inspired by the fairytale "Three Billy Goats Gruff" and the clown part by an incident that Stephen King had with a person dressed as Ronald McDonald on an airplane. Three Billy Goats Gruff was mentioned several times in the novel IT. Dan Tallant sorry but my preferred is the first one the original. That is ab master piece. The second can not compete with the original the third looks like can be more closed the actors looks more appropriate but I was scared of the original and does going to see it. I hope this not coming other franchise. My movies are DC and marvel is destroying the original characters. I do believe the new chapters will be accepted by the new generations. Not IT related. But oh man if you watch Hereditary it's another Horror movie with a lot of hidden CREEPY moments like this. So many times there was stuff in the shadows.

I never noticed the librarian until I saw another youtuber's video like six months ago! So I re watched it and was like "ohhhhhhh" 😆😆😆 but now looking at this video I see I didn't catch any of pennywise lurking behind the scenes 😆😆😆
