It's the therapeutic nature of *BABYMETAL.* It's like an audible magic antidepressant that can help many people during a climb back from rock bottom. Or in some cases, even talk some individuals down from the ledge. I may or may not be an example of one of these individuals. I just know that I'll be forever grateful to *BABYMETAL* & the good that they can do for society. Most people would be amazed at how much of an effect a smile can have on a person who needs help in finding a reason to put a smile on their face.

Akatsuki means blood moon in this context. We call those 2 dancers "Muscle Metal" for a reason. They usually do live action fighting movies in Japan but in between movies they will dance for BabyMetal sometimes. BabyMetal shows are just unreal..

This is a solo performance by lead vocalist Suzuka Nakamoto. BabyMetal began in 2010 there were Suzuka age 12 Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno (Yui left in 2018 due to health reasons). Both Moa and Yui were only 11 when the group began. All three were friends and classmates who attended an idol school (Sakura Gakuin) founded in 2010 by Amuse Talent Agency for girls 10 to 15. Themed around school life the girls would learn and train to be idols and graduate at age 15 to move onto whatever entertainment path they chose. Key Kobayashi was a music producer for Amuse and heard Suzuka sing at age 9 and was impressed with her strong vocals and stage presence. Kobayashi was a fan of heavy metal but believed that the genre had become stale and tired (especially in Japan) with metal bands getting old Kobayashi believed the genre needed to be reborn (BabyMetal means the birth of a new metal genre). Kobayashi felt that Suzuka had the ability to front a metal band and that her vocals and presence could withstand the metal guitars and drums. The fusion of Jpop and Metal began. He placed Moa and Yui as backup singers/dancers and a phenomenon was about to result. At first Amuse showed no interest and the girls had only financing from Kobayashi. They performed at strip malls and small venues using clothes borrowed from friends and family. No money for a real band they had friends dressed in homemade skeleton costumes pretending to play instruments to a backtrack. They became a sensation (these young ladies paid their dues) and Amuse saw the potential and in 2012 hired the best session musicians Japan had to offer (The Kami Band) who tours with them today (now includes world class musicians from the USA for tours outside of Asia). Suggest reacting to BabyMetal LIVE as this is where they shine. They have over 50 LIVE songs/performances and each one is different. They are fearless exploring many genres and have the respect of the legends of Metal such as Metallica, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Judas Priest and more. Suggest reacting to these for a start. Karate LIVE at 2016 Download Festival in the UK where 60,000+ British metal heads sing along with the girls. Road of Resistance LIVE in Japan Megitsune LIVE Catch Me If You Can LIVE with Kami Band intro At their concert in Yokohama on April 1 it was announced that a permanent third member Momoko Okazaki who is also a graduate of Sakura Gakuin and has been appearing with them LIVE since 2019) has officially become the third member. Their new album in my opinion that released March 24 is amazing with so many different styles. Good luck and hope to see you again.

If you’ve never seen Queen Su before you’re in for a treat. She’s an incredible vocalist with an even more powerful stage presence. Normally she shares the stage with her cohorts Moametal and Momometal (and previously Yuimetal before she retired in 2018), but for this song and a couple of others, she flies solo. This performance was recorded at the 10 Babymetal Budokan concert series they did in 2021 to celebrate ten years of Babymetal. For any group to get to play Budokan is a big honour, and Babymetal have done it a number of times.

Akatsuki:- This is 1 of Su-Metal solo song. The other 4 are:- 1. No Rain No Raibow (Legend A Version Is Best). 2. Rondo Of Nightmare (Budokan, Same Venue As Akatsuki). 3. Amore (Wembley Arena). The other 2 members Yuimetal & Moametal (Black Babymetal) are doing their homework backstage. Benitsuki -Akatsuki Information:- Kanji Title: 紅月-アカツキ. Romanji Title: Benitsuki -Akatsuki English Title : Crimson Moon -Dawn. Akatsuki-Benitsuki: Akatsuki- is the couping song from BABYMETAL's 3rd single Megitsune, by SU-METAL. The song is also included in BABYMETAL's first original album BABYMETAL. Information:- •Artist: BABYMETAL. •Single: Megitsune. •Album: BABYMETAL. •Lyrics: NAKAMETAL & TSUBOMETAL. •Composition: TSUBOMETAL. •Arrangement: Kyoto. KamiBand:- The KamiBand are the instrumentalists (or backing band) in BABYMETAL - Each member is a "god (Kami) of music" summoned by The Fox God stage by stage. All the Kamis have their own jobs and side-projects in addition to BABYMETAL. Akatsuki is just Crimsion Moon, but the original kanji for Akatsuki is the one you see in Naruto (暁). The original meaning is the time when night fall ends, or dawn. But there is a double meaning of "The time you waited after your dreams/wishes came true" . If you listen to the lyrics both crimson moon and akatsuki play a role in the song Akatsuki. Lyrics Overview:- Released on 2013 Jun. 19th, coupled with MEGITSUNE (included in the regular edition). Lyric: NAKAMETAL, TSUBOMETAL / Music: TSUBOMETAL / Arr.: Kyôtô AKATSUKI (Crimson Moon) Going over thousands of nights, some love shall survive. So, until my body perishes, until my life disappears, I shall keep on cherishing this love. Shining in the depths of the eyes, the moon is about to cry. Red tears overflow and dye the night sky. In the silence, the two damaged blades stand face to face. Our loneliness and our uneasiness slash even our hearts. Going over thousands of nights, some love shall survive. So, until my body perishes, until my life disappears, I shall keep on cherishing this love. In the passage of time, I keep my eyes shut. Even if the red thread flowing in my hand breaks, I still feel we are tied. In the silence, I hold the damaged blade face to face. My loneliness and my uneasiness, I slash, even my heart, now. Going over thousands of nights, some love shall survive. So, until my body perishes, until my life disappears someday... Going over thousands of nights, some love shall survive. So, until my body perishes, until my life disappears, I shall keep on cherishing this love. Dye crimson! Dye bloody crimson! Kitsune Up🦊🦊🦊🤘🤘🤘🇯🇵🇸🇬 #notacult.

Welcome & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 You are lucky! BABYMETAL will perform this month and May as a special guest in Europe tour by Sabaton, a famous Swedish metal band. The tour will start on April 14 with UK leg at 4 venues in Leeds, London, Cardiff and Glasgow. BABYMETAL call UK as their "second home". You will understand why sooner or later, because you are receiving tons of information about BM from many fans in various countries. Their activities have been worldwide since 2014. BTW, you are probably the first person who started BM with this 2021 version of Akatsuki. I witnessed this performance at the venue and got mesmerized by that special production although I had seen BM shows before. Please explore BM more.

If crowd participation is what you are looking for, you have come to the right band. The crowd can be considered an additional member in BABYMETAL. Usually they play a bigger role than they do here, because this is one of a few Su solo songs, while for most songs they have two additional members on stage for backing vocals, dancing and getting the crowd involved. A good example would be the performance of an older songs called „Headbanger“ at the „Legend 1997“ show. Please check it out!

Great first reaction and welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole.🦊They are like no other band you will have seen - and yes they always put on a show. The big arena shows in Japan, like this one, are spectacular, but even at festivals with a bare stage or in the smaller venues (1500 to 8 or 9000 capacity) they play as they tour the world they still put on a great show and never give less than 100% for every song. They appreciate people have often paid a lot of money and travelled a long way to see them and they are very serious about giving value for money. They have about 60 songs now, each one different to the last. They have songs in virtually every metal genre but they will also mix or blend many other musical styles and genres in with the metal. Some songs are good hard metal others lean towards their pop roots and they do everything in between. This is one of Su-metal's solo songs - there are only 4 of them (plus a couple of early one-off covers she performed at birthday concerts), so you are yet to see BABYMETAL in their more usual three person form ... that is a real treat. You have some excellent suggestions already, any and all of them worth following up - I will go with seconding RoadRunner's suggestions with the links he has provided.

Glad you liked it - I've been obsessed since I first discovered them - about 6 months ago....can't believe I didn't know of them for over 10 years - but made up for it now. Virtually everything they do sounds awesome - they even did some covers when young that blew the originals out of the water - doesn't really matter where you look - you can't go wrong although live performances are usually better. I'd suggest headbanger 97 (easy to find)to put a stupid smile on your face, brain damage and unreseved absorbtion mostly due to sensory overload imo 😁. They started at about ages (Babymetal) 11 and 13 I believe - in this I think they're 13/14 and 15. Have fun!

From the Babymetal Reactor Resource kzfaq.info/get/bejne/p5pgidCFrbnMZJc.html Going forward, if reactors want to keep reacting to the videos, I've come up with a solution that will make it possible to continue using the videos with logos that have already been tested against blocks. I've made a spreadsheet - docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZYdthVAHYaOAYL6AuhVOHotQinMoPPFEuspqDMIIGD4/edit#gid=0 with links to both the logo videos and the non-logo videos and are hosing them on a Russian social media site that won't remove them, and is out of the reach of the copyright trolls. There are a bit over 30 videos on there now, but I'll keep uploading more every day until they're all back up. I'll also be adding new videos that I'll test on an alt KZfaq account before adding to the spreadsheet. If you can't access the spreadsheet for whatever reason, here are direct links to both the non-logo videos and the videos with logos: No logos - ok.ru/video/c6630874 With logos - ok.ru/video/c7184602 For reactors that want to put your own logo over the videos, here is a link to the logos I use that are already made transparent - drive.google.com/file/d/1JUVfJGp36xR2n1FHl7PzRIxXhA5P4VyW/viewor you can use whatever logo you'd like. You can download the videos, which I recommend since the site can be a bit laggy sometimes, from this free website - sovid.net/ I recommend using the "HD" option when downloading to keep the file size reasonably small. Although there are other videos on my channel there, only use the ones on the spreadsheet because some of the other non-logo videos aren't KZfaq safe. Kitsunes UP!

Thanks for this reaction, glad you enjoyed it. Maybe their are some things to know about this performance: This performance was in 2021 at the famous Budokan in Tokyo, which you should think of as the 'Madison Square Garden of Japan' or similar venue. Babymetal had already performed there in 2014 when the lead singer (Su-metal who was in this performance) was just 16 years old and the other 2 members were 14 years old. Which as a group made them the youngest female group ever to perform there. This is a venue which The Beatles were first to perform (it's actually a martial arts venue build for the Olympics and still used for that), the youngest person ever was Michael Jackson when he was in The Jackson 5. It was the biggest venue for Babymetal at the time, they sold out 2 days and it was to promote the release of their first album. At the end of those 2 days, they announced they were going on their first world tour, including metal festivals, etc. The first 2 shows (France and Germany) were actually birthday shows for the other 2, so they had turned 15. It's kind of funny to think about: these kids running around back stage at metal festivals (between PR, performing and training and yes: making home work). But because they had gone viral (little girls doing metal and choreographed dancing, yep that goes viral of course and gets lots of hate by people who would say 'this is not metal') also performed at the main stage (Sonisphere, UK) at their 3rd performance on that world tour. Which is a much bigger crowd: 50 000 to 60 000 people. Despite some people saying online how they would throw stuff, etc. it was actually a great success and the music press loved it and they became even more famous. As mentioned by RAH22 after the second album Yuimetal left because of health issues. That year this song you watched was also performed on that tour, with Yuimetal on the sidelines, they took two others with them to dance behind them and during this song they would do this 'fight scene'. The 'fight scene' is actually a representation of fighting yourself. What is also interesting one is actually also an actress who has done real fight scenes in at least one action movie. Stock Horse Reacts mentioned an unfinished version, which was a stripped down piano version performed at Legend 1997 in 2013 (1997 is her birthday, it's her 16th birthday show). The 2021 performance is the show to celebrate the 10 year anniversary, so that is why all those elements were incorporated in this one performance. The use of the dueling guitar solos during the fight scene and the title of the song are actually references to an other Japanese band which greatly inspired Babymetal: X-Japan, one of their songs is called: kurenai (roughly means: crimson moon) and Akatsuki roughly translates/means red moon. The 10 year celebration was done by doing 10 shows (5 sets of 2 shows spread out over 4 months) in 2021, this was during all the corona restrictions, people were not allowed to shout and were wearing 2 masks and their was less people in the seats to spread them out. The people you heard were actually from recordings of previous performances of this song. Which were audible in venue, so people could hear it to and feel more like a regular show. Anyway... I've probably already said more than enough. LOL 🙂

Welcome to the Foxhole, it's called that because Babymetal's patron deity is the Fox God. The thumbnail on KZfaq for your review shows a picture from the 2014 Budokan Black Night performance of Akatsuki which I think is far more satisfying as it highlights the guitar players and Su's vocal is more passionate, but this 2021 performance is still compelling. Akatsuki (Crimson Moon) is about enduring love and keeping love alive, even through physical separation. It uses the symbolism of the traditional "red thread" that is a psychic link between true lovers. This is a reason for all the red used in the staging. The origins of Babymetal go back to 2010 when they started as a sub-unit of the school themed J-pop idol group Sakura Gakuin. Part of the conceit of the group was that the school girls were in school clubs and they would sing songs based on club activities; Babymetal started as the "Heavymetal Club". They became so popular that they were spun off as a separate band in 2013 with their own backing band called the Kami Band. The lead singer, is Suzuka Nakamoto and the backing singers and dancers were Yui Mizuno and Moa Kikuchi, but Yui left in 2018 and has just been replaced by Momoko Okazaki, Now I suggest you take a look at "Babymetal Road of Resistance - Live in Japan" to see what they can really do in concert.

I am glad it is perfect of your pronunciation for the song title, and Su- shouted it at 1:17. ⚡ / 🔴 🌙 "Going over thousands (of) nights, some love shall survive. So, until my body perishes, until my life disappears, I shall keep on cherishing this love. Dye crimson! Dye bloody crimson!" - Akatsuki A Su-metal classic. 'Akatuski' was her first solo song with BABYMETAL. It was released on the 'Megitsune' single in June of 2013. Which means she would have been 15 when she first recorded the song. This performance is from February, 2021.

Another great reaction Becky! If this is your introduction to Babymetal you've started on a good one - a lot of people tend to be introduced to Gimme Chocolate first and I think it doesn't do them justice (as much as I love that song!). I've followed their journey from when they first made music news in the UK and watched them grow and change over time, it's been quite a trip! So many great songs, Su has an incredible voice and the choreography is second to none... Their new album shows such a progression and a maturity and has blown my mind! Love Akatsuki, and their Budokon gigs are all top notch! Their first UK performance was Sonisphere 2014 -you'll easily find the story behind it and what made it so special - which is worth finding on YT... Going to head over to Twitch and give you a follow now :)

An homage to the 80s Hair Metal scene (particularly X-Japan), always performed with that unmistakable cape, AKATSUKI is a tribute for the more classical metal enthusiasts. Raw sounding without edm influences. With speed, it was a vocal driven song performed powerfully solo. The lyric is also quite deep and adds a lot to the song. But the way Suu delivered it you kinda feel it even without understanding the words. In older peeformances, the guitarists will come forward and perform their solo in limelight. Nowadays, such as in this performance, the two muscle metals came forward and perform choreographed combat scene, or the two side girls perform dances in that part, depending to which performance refered. Personally I'd prefer the guitarists but oh well :)

Welcome back to BabyMetal journey 🦊🤘🔥 I'm pretty sure i saw another reaction from you, not this song, was that blocked? Anyway this song is one of SuMetal's solo, she got four in total just like Black Babymetal, a subgroup with only YuiMetal and MoaMetal before she left the group in 2018. This was a revival in Budokan 2021 when celebrating their 10 years and it contains some tributes to previous version like Budokan 2014, Dark Night Carnival 2018 (with the battle fight), and Legend 1997 (held in 2013 when she sang the Unfinished Version with only a piano behind just like during the middle section). The crowd unfortunately was a prerecorded sound because this was made during pandemic situation and no one was allowed to shout or doing mosh pit, also the capacity was cut to half, everyone had a great time thou. This song is a tribute to another mythical visual-key Japanese band called X-Japan and one of the founder member Yoshiki got also another tribute with the song Headbanger!! If you're looking for more info, i suggest you to watch "A BabyMetal Guide" by CrypticMisery. Next suggestion: - "Ijime Dame Zettai" live at Sonisphere 2014,. careful with the blocked by putting some filters. Thanks for sharing this and see you next time 🦊🤘🔥

"This very much feels like a performance. Not just a song, but a performance." Welcome to the undisputed champion of Japan's music and idol industries. Su, Yui, and Moa were recruited early out of an idol academy, thus the impeccable vocal training and focus on performance. BABYMETAL has since enjoyed over a decade of global recognition and continuously rising popularity. No other Japanese idol or musician can claim the same. The next biggest idol, globally, would probably be Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. She's a definitively bubblegum pop artist that was called "Japan's Lady Gaga" back when she released the song "PonPonPon" with a hallucinogenic music video. Her staying power wasn't as strong, but she still maintains a sizable international audience.

Nice reaction. It's epic performances like this that become the reason why folks say the best Babymetal is Babymetal live. The do not simply play their songs. Every song is performed the best they can do it. This is their Kingdom, the stage in front of a live audience. We just get to visit when they are on tour. Su-metal delivers an amazing performance of this song every time. They've changed the performance of this song from time to time. This time bringing back the muscle metal to perform for their 10 years of Babymetal shows. The changing of the performance of their songs brings a freshness to old songs and a bit of mystery to their shows. You just never know what they'll change. Babymetals concerts have become life altering experiences. Happiness tends to follow for some time after a Babymetal concert. Enjoy your journey through the Foxhole and into the Babymetal galaxy of music.

"She seemed so sweet," ... "looked so innocent," sure, but the group literally has "metal" in its name. The J-pop influences (particularly in the choreography) are what most people don't expect. Granted, this song isn't exactly the best example of that aspect of their work. I've always been partial to iine (the second song they released) myself, particularly the official music video of it. BxMxC is also good. Or if you want to see them *really* get the crowd involved, see the live-in-Japan version of Road to Resistance.

Hi, nice reaction, perfect choice, I love this song, Akatsuki is from their very first album, so there are many versions of it. This one, as others told you, comes from their BUDOKAN X 2021 shows, it is peculiar because it mixes three different elements: 1) the classic metal version 2) the Dark Carnival fighting between the Muscle Metal dancers 3) the "unfinished" a cappella song That and SU's more powerful voice, make it the top Akatsuki IMHO. Unfortunately, it's very likely this is the last time they are playing one of my favourite songs ever, but ... Only The Fox God Knows. 🤘🦊⚡️

@stevechevy3382 yeah 😅 I just listed the three performances that were "mixed" in this one, but every single version is amazing in its own way. SU faced her clone two times, first in Legend "Z" and then the most recent one in Legend S Baptism XX, where she fight against a younger version of herself, which makes sense 😅 🎂 🤘🦊⚡️

I'm sorry but what you heard weren't really crowd noises! THey usually have really vocal and intense crowds, expecially in Japan, but this song was recorded during pandemic, and the audience had to follow a strict no-shout, no-sing, no-cheer rule, with double mask on. But to keep the atmosphere how it usually is at BM shows, Babymetal used recordings from other shows to keep the crowd noise how it usually is! Cheers! :)

as impressive as this performance is with the ninja break and all, i prefer the live version from the fox festival in 2017. sumetal is much closer to the band, and instead of mortal combat you get a guitar duel featuring the late mikio fujioka. it looks more like a metal show than a broadway musical.
