Rewatching this video makes me think that Dija's name may connect to his backstory , as the song is more of a studio joke that went to far just like a game of hide and seek that went into a trust issues and an escape room stand.

Adding on to the names being rather weak, I came to my own conclusion: Wouldn't 「Hotel California」work better for the Stand's name? Not only does it fit better just as a name (This is a hotel you're escaping from, after all), but it fits with the lyrics of the song. Here's my examples: "There she stood in the doorway , I heard the mission bell. And I was thinking to myself, this could be Heaven or this could be Hell."- The Stardust Crusaders unwittingly stopping at the hotel for the night while not knowing what Dija is or his intent towards the group. Just replace she with he, and you have the group stopping into Dija's hotel, while them possibly thinking of the imposing trap ahead... "Then she lit up a candle , and she showed me the way,"- This is you, or the people attending the escape room. Rather than Dija helping you throughout the hotel (doing the exact opposite), you help the Stardust Crusaders escape from Dija's clutches and the Stand's ability to make all of you disappear. For a less strong reason, the "she showed me the way" bit is the reason the heroes came on their journey: to save Holly. "There were voices down the corridor , I thought I heard them say: Welcome to the Hotel California , such a lovely place, such a lovely face. Plenty of room at the Hotel California, any time of year, you can find it here."- The group is first introduced into the trap by Dija's voice mysteriously appearing to them. Giving his sly, cunning nature, its easy to imagine him possibly enticing the heroes into their trap, or perhaps the other unlucky visitor's original thoughts, now eternally regretting their choice wherever they go. "She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys, she calls friends. How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat. Some dance to remember, some dance to forget."- The "She" in this scenario is either DIO or Dija himself, and the "pretty, pretty boys" are their allies, or the other enemies the heroes faced/will face. I don't have too much to say on the courtyard bit besides a possible comparison for the "dance" being them fighting with the Stardust Crusaders, but the remember and forget bit is another relation to DIO's minions, be they joining him for positive adoration for the man or for more heartfelt reasons, such as N'Doul believing him to be a savior of sorts, or Enya purely supporting him after her son's demise. Hell, you could say even that Kakyoin and Polnareff, despite being brainwashed, got themselves in the risks of being his minions due to the former's longing for friendship and the former's quest to avenge Sherry. "Mirrors on the ceiling , the pink champagne on ice...."- The general strange and deadly nature of the hotel I say is strongest in the third bit here. This bit I say is a small comparison to the shifting, warping nature of the hotel. "And she said, we are all just prisoners here, of our own device"- The "prisoners" in this case are the people who got trapped inside the hotel and vanished. They unexpectedly became prisoners of the hotel due to choice to stay there, or "of our own device". The trickery of Dija is revealed. "And in the master's chambers , they gathered for the feast, they stab it with their steely knives, but they just can't kill the beast."- This could have two meanings, based on the viewpoint of the line. If you look at it from the hero's side, the "beast" is DIO himself, and the seemingly invincible and world-dominating foe he is. Additionally, he heroes of Phantom Blood tried to stop him for good but failed, hence why "they just can't kill" DIO. For the villain's side, the "beast" are the Joestars, and their repeatedly failed attempts to take them down. "Last thing I remember, I was running for the door. I had to find the passage back, to the place I was before."- The guests trapped inside House of Holly's desperate attempts to escape their prison and find a way out, trying to find their way back to safety. The latter bit is for the fact the walls of House of Holly constantly shift and change, so trying to find a passage out is hard. "Relax, said the night man , we are programmed to receive. You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave!"- The "night man" is Dija again, sadistically telling the people inside to relax and stop trying to escape, as escape is impossible in his mind. The "programmed to receive" bit could be, as Genius Lyrics puts it, asserting that the human psyche is “programmed” to prefer to receive gifts then gift them. For this bit, the receiving is of their punishment for being in the hotel and falling for the trap set out for them. This could also be Dija (and for extent, Dio and his henchmen, surrendering themselves for their evil desires to take over the world, or "receiving" their desires. The last bit is fairly straightforward, as the guests inside can regret their decision all they want and vow to take Dija down, but good luck getting out of that mess and giving Dija what he deserves. So, what do you guys think? Did I do a good job explaining my case and like my stance? If so, I would be glad to accept any likes and comments ya guys have to say, as it took me a while to write this up. Here's to hoping that Meti reads this himself!

I actually thought up a similarish stand idea. It's a stand that binds itself to whatever building the user resides in, however it works a bit differently. Instead, it rearranges "throughways" in the building. By "throughways," I mean things like doorways, but it extends to other similar things like windows. And when those throughways are connected, it pairs the 2 sides of that throughway with the 2 sides of the other throughway it's connected to. For example, say the stand connects Doors A and B. If it's connected so that side 1 of Door A is connected to side 2 of Door B, then side 1 of Door B is connected to side 2 of Door A. Alternatively, the user can choose for the connected sides of the doors to be done in any way, so long as the throughway doesn't connect to the same throughway on the same side. Basically, he can't make side 1 of Door A open into side 1 of Door A. It has to open to either side 2 of Door A, side 1 of Door B, or side 2 of Door B. And then the other 2 remaining sides of their doors will connect. Basically, it makes throughways into wormholes connected at other throughways. I named the stand Hotel California, because I got the idea from the line in the song that says, "you can check out any time you like, but you may never leave."

3:45 something i should add regarding d'ja maker d'ja actually seems to be derrived from "d'jinn" like the genie "erazor dijinn", or "d'jimmi the great" from cuphead. i think its meant to emphasise that d'ja maker is a genie of sorts. like cameo and judgement.

This is old, but they did actually bring it to the West, at Fanime Con 2018 in California. I went to it, got a poster and everything! It was really fun!

It's kind of sad that none of this cool exhibits come to my city, although they are now making scape rooms for everything and maybe not all puzzles are all that good (probably the puzzles for a Layton exhibition would be better than for a random anime).

I am kind of surprised that David production didn't throw this guy into their anime adaption in some form. Though this is an interesting idea for a character and stand.
