Alicia is forgetting that Knuckle was actually correct due to his humanity - I mean, Youpi could've easily killed Morel and Knuckle in under 3 minutes. But this is where HxH gets really good - when ants gain humanity, and humans lose theirs. Ohohoho, you don't even know it but you are in for it now. Youpi has it worse since he was made from animals, no human DNA - so, for him, personality and empathy must run literally counter to his nature, yet it still won over.

Moral of the story: In Hunter x Hunter even the stalling has narrative purpose, the wisest thing Morel could've done was staying perfectly still for as long as possible with Pouf trapped. Granted, we know it worked out after that but still

24:00 Ok i know you guys are long past this episode by now, but if you happen to see this, i feel the need to mention that that line, "at worst, gon will trade his life for pitou's" is not translated accurately like at all... what killua says is "saiyaku shinjuu da na," & "shinjuu" means a double suicide by people who love each other, so it's often translated as "lovers' suicide," but it doesn't have to necessarily be romantic love. but given the usage of that word, it doesn't make sense for killua to be talking about pitou, it's far more likely that he's saying that worst-case scenario, he'll go die with gon. I don't know why they translated it like that, it's just literally not what he's saying at all. it's also important to note that shinjuu is specifically a double suicide, not a murder-suicide, so apart from gon & pitou having no love for each other, it would also be strange to call gon killing pitou & dying in the process a "double *suicide*." I think it only makes sense to interpret it as killua referring to himself choosing to die with gon when he says that line, & that's also part of why meleoron feels so awkward right after, & killua has to play it off to lighten the mood. I feel like if they were apprehensive about using the term "lovers' suicide," they could've just translated it as double suicide, & left it up to interpretation as to who he was talking about...?? it may not seem like a big deal but i feel like the nuance of that line is important to understand killua's mental state at the time. there has been a lot of buildup showing how miserable & pained he's been seeing gon's state, & now he's saying he might go do a double suicide with his best friend who's destroying himself in his grief & guilt.
