The main reason why I subscribe is that I love the way the Smith family loves their babies and the way they love on their babies, and on each other. I love that I ha e not heard them say a mean word to any of the animals, or to each other.

Amen to that🙏🏻bless this family of farmers😇. I grew up farming and ranching in 4-H and then onto FFA then grew up onto the same life, and way of life it is. I can tell you these people go above and beyond to care for EACH AND EVERY ONE of their critters. In my opinion if you cannot give this kind of love and care for every single animal please do something else, there’s no shame in admitting it’s not for you. Thank you to this amazing family for giving a wonderful example of farm life!! It’s a lot of work but if you love it like I do it’s in your blood and doesn’t feel for even a minute like “work”. God bless you all including your beautiful farm and all its critters🙏🏻😇. Amen to……. “YOU GOTTA LOVE IT”😇😇♥️😇😇

Of all the farms I have watched I absolutely love watching your videos. Your babies are the sweetest and most loving. It's obvious they know they are loved and they love you guys too. I love animals so deeply and look forward to a notice of new videos from your farm, garden or home .. you are patient loving, caring and I've never heard you scream, yell or use aggression toward anyone of your babies and it shows. I love you guys truly with my whole heart. Just wanted to share that my Gidget recently turned 21 years old! She is very loved and my best friend. I keep her healthy and happy so she doesn't look or act any more aged than half her age..she is my 21 year old Chihuahua puppy.

One very important thing about your animals is that they all feel loved and safe in their home. It doesn't have to be petting or loving on them, it's the special things Jason, Brooke an MaryCarl does for them. The hugs are also so wonderful to see, they are so much loved. I really enjoy each and every video and every pod cast put out by Cog Hill family. 🥰🥰🥰

I smile every time I listen to Jason naming off the chickens and saying hello to them. Hearing Jason say all the chickens names reminds of Hobo Kelly when she would put her huge glasses on and name off all the kids with the birthday wishes. It puts a smile on my face. 🤭😆🥰

I really appreciate how much love you give your feather and fur babies. I’m so impressed with your cleanliness, it’s so important and you do an excellent job. I haven’t seen one other farmer do as great of a job as you do with making sure their water is clean. I know others love their animals but your animals are really lucky to have you as their parents. The love is so apparent. Thank you for letting us come along, it’s so beautiful.

'S .a large family too feed an cloth we were always busy. It was a learning time in our life . Back then we had home made 👗 dresses out of printed feed bags our mother sewed for us, she was very good with there'd an needle. Our PARENT'S taught us well you seem too be doing the same thing. I watch your show all the time .Tell Jason we even had donkeys an lots of goats an pigs chicken's,geese,ducks an cows, horses.We started out in a tent till my dad built a small House then built on to it later on. You are doing good job keep up the good work.

The diehard fans of the channel understand that there's no way possible for the animals to be so healthy looking or the the property to look so well maintained without everyone doing their parts, and we appreciate your daughters level of independence accountability and passion for her pets. The real fan's understand that there is homeschool and so many other things going on that we just don't get to see including the editing for the videos + the podcast. Being a hobby farmer for animals is a very big responsibility. Domestic, fenced/caged animals depend on us to keep them fed, watered, healthy, and provide them with shelter and in some instances they depend on us for socialization and enrichment(for me, I think they all should). Tending to a farm and caring for animals is not easy but if you love what you're doing it's not a chore or a burden, it becomes a lifestyle. A lifestyle that is your passion, determination, therapy and part of your daily routine, just like getting out of bed every morning, getting dressed for the day or having your morning coffee and brushing your teeth in the mornings. It's a Lifestyle!

I was just thinking you could make a rolling sink washing station with an old metal sink, faucet hardware cloth countertop, hook up to a hose maybe. Could be used for the waterers and veggies when they come in.

I have seen videos of other homesteaders and how they handle their daily chores, cog hill40 by far is my favorite... your animals so totally LOVE you. all their food and water is clean and fresh they are living their BEST LIFE , actually my heart cries out for the animals on the other homesteds .dirty water and so little food. you guys fill my heart with joy

As much as the Victoria Crown pigeons loved that fig...that row of figs when the plants mature will be an endless supply of treats. Even with freeze drying.. I'm sure there will be extra for the critters. Nothing will go to waste. Same goes for the vegetable garden. Extra scraps and leaves off plants (I'm sure the goats will eat ANYTHING green ) will feed them too if not go into the compost bin to make the garden soil even better down the road. The garden and orchard will be feeding EVERYBODY on the farm with treats.

What a nice and interesting tour of all the different birds and what they eat and how you make sure there's plenty of water every where which doesn't surprise me with you folks being the very best that there is. Mary Carl is the pigeon Whisperer the amount of knowledge that she has about pigeons is incredible, and I find it very interesting to hear her speak about it. I just figured a pigeon was a gray flying rat that always did the bathroom on you when you were in the cities LOL great video beautiful Farm and of course you have a wonderful family God bless all of you.
