@@faitherific No need to announce, actually unless of course you really feel the need to do so. When I am out with folks and if people want me to drink I simply say "no thanks, I'm good" and just carry on hanging out. If it's pressed, then my second response is like "I'm driving (or on antibiotics)." The trick is to be casual and deflect interest without drawing attention (and thus reflecting back to others that you are different or alien). Whenever I share my story, it's usually 1 on 1 and a deeply personal conversation. Aside from that? T'ain't no body's bidness! Congrats and best of luck to you!

Someone explain to me why Colbert and Copper give away the ending of Nightmare Ally in this interview. They act like they aren’t giving anything away, then 20 minutes into the film I’m like wait is that how it ends? I thought, no, they wouldn’t do that. Then half way through the film I realize that scene isn’t happening anytime soon, and they did give away the ending. If you want to see Nightmare Alley but don’t want to know how it ends, don’t watch the clip of the film they show in the interview. Colbert’s (who I love) choice to show it is extremely disappointing. They act like they are being sneaking and not giving anything away, but that’s only if you expect that your audience is stupid. They could have shown so many other clips, but they give away the ending. Wait they think, until you see it you don’t know it’s the ending. We aren’t stupid. As soon as the subject was talked about in the film (not very far into it) since I had seen that clip I knew how it ended.

Without a doubt, Nightmare Alley is the most underrated movie of the year. It got massively overshadowed by Spiderman, but it’s my second favorite of the year, only surpassed by Dune. EDIT: I’m really pissed that the clip they showed in this interview is the final moments of the movie. Not only is it a massive spoiler, but it requires all of the context of the last few hours of movie to really hit. Put on top of that that it’s one of the best endings in years. I don’t whose decision that was, but that’s kind of ridiculous.

Bradley Cooper was one uh f these actors, who didn't break through with just 1 movie. He played small parts, some good, others not so much, but he kept making better choices and roles in movies, where he could excell in. From Amery an Sniper to the comedy The Hang Over to his directorial debut with A Star is Born, which opened the door to more complex roles, like he's doing now in Nightmare Alley.

The 1947 version of "Nightmare Alley" includes that scene, but forties era standards demanded a happy ending so the movie goes on another 8 to 10 minutes longer than it should have. Del Toro had the right idea ending it where he did without the obligatory "Happy Ending".

Yes, that was unfair to show the ending in this interview. I find this film very dark, but very sad somehow. I can’t imagine that circus or carnival really used to work this way in the old times. It sounds like the games from the ‘Hunger Games’ movie or some other games from the ancient times.
