‘It’s a joke’: Andrew Bolt slams ‘race politics’ of new SA Voice after low voter turnout

Sky News host Andrew Bolt claims South Australia has now confirmed “race politics” is not wanted by Aboriginals after a low voter turnout for the state’s Voice to Parliament.
Less than ten per cent of eligible Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders voted for candidates in the new state-based Voice.
South Australia’s First Nation’s Voice passed parliament last year.
“The vote for this in Parliament to set it up saw the white left line the streets in support but last week it was time for Aborigines themselves to vote for their representatives on this state voice - and boy that was a very different story,” Mr Bolt said.
“Fewer than nine per cent of the state's estimated 30,000 Aborigines of voting age bothered to vote.”

I am a South Australian. I am disgusted by the Premier's complete arrogance in ignoring the will of SA people by forging ahead with his own SA Voice. The majority of SA people do not want this, yet he undemocratically dismisses their opinion.

He 'defamed' people by merely pointing this out. And when it comes to being sued for *actually* defaming people - maliciously smearing them - I'm afraid no one can compete with the taxpayer-funded ABC on that score. As for your other claim, it, of course, is sheer nonsense.

But because your misdirection did mention the ABC, please explain how one individual with a small audience can be compared to a national broadcaster.

And as far as I'm concerned, the ABC is perfectly relevant here. Someone like Louise Milligan, among others, has been sued for maliciously slandering people, repeatedly, and at *taxpayer's* expense. Sorry, but I don't require your permission to bring that up.

The Australian Human Rights Commission defines racism in the following way: " Racism is the process by which systems and policies, actions and attitudes, create inequitable opportunities and outcomes for people , BASED ON RACE." The South Australian legislation appears to be clearly FIT the definition as "RACIST" and is therefore ILLEGAL in Australia. Surely the Australian Human Rights Commission would be derelict in it's duty if it dind't AT LEAST draw this to the attention of the Politicians and Bureaucrats that developed such policies and legislation.

It was an illegal/unconstitutional vote. Voting is Compulsory for All Australian Citizens. This Vote precluded non indigenous citizens, thus forcing me to either break the law or have my constitutional rights violated. Change my mind.

And on behalf of those other citizens that are many generation removed from their colonial forebears who are told that they are just not indigenous Enough despite having no other homeland and no direct ties to the land of their forebears. It is inherently racist, divisive, unjust and insulting. ''All citizens are Equal, but some citizens are more equal than others.'' So much for the National Anthem? We want to vote for people who really represent us. The way politics are now. AUSTRALIAN means aboriginal too. An Australian of aboriginal descent or a representative who speaks with and Understands our real world problems. Youth who cant read or write or pronounce English. We need ways to make aboriginal men feed their families or build an empire through education. Empower real leaders who feed the community with their success. Servant from the ground up like how our elders really done things. Or the wolf serving at the back of the pack. We need to emlower young indigenous educated men into the spotlight to inspire the next generation. Teach a man to fish❤

They got huge benefits and privileges. I got nothing. The local aboriginals had a reputation for theft, racism and murder. What is this suffering Vivek is yabbering about?
