If you have to grave yourself at mid lane you are probably still going to die when ganked by multiple people. It just better to get a kill by having more points in poison touch and dominate lane than delaying your death by 5 seconds. Plus is if you die after killing the enemy mid you get a free bottle charges and you wont be at disadvantage when you tp back mid. Unlike living with 1 hp with grave and the enemy tp back mid with full hp 15 seconds later.

I got flammed a few times by teammates because I got no point on shallow grave when I ganked side lanes (my build always goes 4-0-4+ult+level 10 talent then grave). The way I see, you are playing from a “secure” range when playing core dazzle, spamming Q and E. Level 1 shallow grave has so little range that if you are reaching your teammates to save them, you are actually getting yourself killed, because dazzle is so squishy once you get focused.

Perhaps a value points in some situations to save yourself is good, but I liked the explanation the mate gave above.

@@danielpague603 Tiny I understand, there's no real need for the shard with how he plays. but dazzle shard does so much (stop tp, stop cancels, kills illusions, teamwide disable) that i think it's a bad idea for him to not buy it in even in 35/40+ min games..

That money could be used on a much more effective item, as you can see in the game. And did you see how broken daz is in farming tormentors. @@patricedenice5592
