Happy Tuesday Therapy Crouch fans! On today’s episode, Abbey and Peter take a moment to to reflect on all things New Years and the dreaded resolutions that come with it!
The pair give their thoughts on if they think there is any point trying to do a resolution in this day in age or if they are doomed from the very start….
Dry January, project get fit, Blue Monday and terrible birthday timings are all things discussed on today’s pod and as usual the gang has some VERY surprising takes on a few of these topics.

Look see it how it is. Weve all been there. She was pissed off and had every right he went out the night before and came home late hammered, exavtly what i would do but my missus would do the same. Its a NORMAL relationship no one is perfect 100% of the time. People going at her is WRONG she had everyright to be pissed off as my missus is when i do it as a man, its just a typical normal couple argument

If you’re the person who holds it down in the house, whilst your partner doesn’t do much to help. It does cause frustration and tension, it’s natural. I love the authenticity of the podcast, don’t change it. It’s refreshing seeing the ups and down of a relationship. There’s too many people putting on a show. Keep it authentic and keep being you. Don’t start overthinking everything you say, it’ll ruin the podcast ❤

Hi Abi and Pete, it is probably unlikely that you read the comments here, but if you do, I wanted to let you know that I found the brief discussion and perhaps the desire of becoming more “intellectual” and more knowledgeable about current affairs really interesting. Frankly, I think everyone should, because we all are part of society and the way we live, vote, and consume affects the life of others as well as the future of our children and future generations. While I agree that the TV news is often terribly negative and sensationalistic, there are other media (e.g. magazines like The Economist, talks, documentaries, etc.) one can resort to keep abreast and acquire valuable and interesting background knowledge. Another good pod. Didnt like how abby was complaining amd blaming everything on pete, im sure she does things that piss him off. No one is perfect. I still believe ross needs to be a guess on the sofa. Also i think Tom and Givanna fletcher would be great guests, also David and Victoria Beckham, Ellan and Portia, Chris and Rosie Ramsey😊

It seems very much what Abby wants is paramount, Pete looks like he can’t even enjoy his Christmas party. He asked at points to not continue the conversation and she just continued. I’ve seen this happen in relationships before and it’s been 50/50 if they continued. Being honest and open in podcasts isn’t insulting your husband in public.

PETE IF YOU'RE READING THIS. Plan a dinner with Abbey and her friends and surprise her one weekend. Or a weekend trip with her friends. Say "babe I'll watch the kids. You go out and enjoy yourself." Try and do it once a month and you'll see how much she appreciates it. She'll loosen the lead when she starts feeling like you give a shit about her having a life and enjoying her time instead of constantly being on mom duty 24/7

I can't understand why you don't just take your shoes off when you come in the front door. Then if they are muddy - go get a newspaper and put muddy shoes on that while you go to utlity room/kitchen to get the gunk off your shoes! I have to LOL when you enthuse about Batman... You guys gotta compromise. Pete you can go out to your Christmas party or golf and have a blast with your friends. But if she's begging you to come home at a normal hour because she's been planning a big family getaway the next day and said that this is important to her. Then yeah you kind of screwed up by staying out all night then sleeping the entire car ride like a bum while she took care of the kids all by herself....Not much of a vacation for her. It is hurtful when you ignore what she asks and do what you want. She makes tons of compromises for you I'm sure. I think just apologizing and acknowledging how much effort she put in to the trip for your guys family would be nice. It's really the thought that hurts the most in these situations. You guys are a great couple but yeah acknowledging when you hurt your partner is important.
