All reality TV shows are fake. I used to work at a body shop that restored cars for the Wheeler Dealer car show. During filming, the guy from the show would start doing the work then they would cut the filming and my helper would actually do the work. When he was done, the guy from the show (Mike) would go back out and start doing the work, and they would start filming again, although the work was already finished. That way it looked like he did all the work. Same with the painting.

Yeah Rick, Chumlee and Corey always said it's staged. People act like they were trying to lie lol. They said only the negotiations are real during the show, but they know what's coming in to know if it's worth making an episode for. They even said somewhere that the producers reach out to people with intresting ebay listings for people to learn about the item. Like when pokemon go was popular, they hit up that charizard guy through an ebay listing. They don't seem to hide it. And I agree, I still like watching it despite that though.

I feel like this was a known thing... I've actually been on the show (well, my dad was the item seller, I was in the background)... They film like three takes with different dialogue in a fake store, then splice together the different takes based on what they want to use and boom, episode material... What is really funny about it is that because of them using bits from each take, I teleport in the background a lot. They basically flew us out there and offered us a room in a casino hotel, but we opted to stay elsewhere since we had a preferred casino/hotel. It was a bit wild seeing the shoot play out, we were maybe in there filming for like an hour, max. The funniest bit was the "Expert" is already there and the "door" they enter is a fake door with a big white paper behind it. But yes, it is absolutely a scripted show.

He also gave her the greatest loan out of every shop in vegas. Truly a classic business man❤

I went to the Wahlburgers in Las Vegas a few years back, but couldn’t get in due to security at both doors. Even the walk up bar was being guarded but you could still clearly see inside. I was confused because there were customers in there eating. Soon found out they were filming an episode of The Wahlbugers. Donny and Jenny were there, when they entered the building the director was trying to hype up the crowd to make it seem like there was a ton of people there cheering for them. In fact most people were just standing around confused as to what was going on. Donny and Jenny started serving drinks to the “customers” who I realized were all wearing “New Kids on the Block” tshirts. Then Boys 2 Men showed up and after about 20-30 mins, they all left. When I actually saw the episode later, they made it seem like they just popped in unannounced and hung out with the customers for a long time, debuting Jenny’s new brand of Vodka. It was kinda cool to see but it did open my eyes to the “reality” of reality tv.
