So he was previously incarcerated, so he has a history of attacking lori’s ex husbands, and STILL didn’t get arrested after shooting Charles! Oh my god!

Moreover, the med examiner revealed that the second gunshot wound on Charles entered his chest "while he was laying on the ground flat on his back." That alone is a huge telltale. If all else had previously failed to jumpstart an investigation then this particular discovery should've been more than sufficient to get the investigative wheels rolling. At the VERY least. There were so many textbook red flags that could've really changed the entire course of this horrific tragedy if they weren't so foolishly dismissed.

I wish someone would just come out with the cold, hard, truth from a background of knowing these people. How about: "Alex Cox had a lot of serious mental problems. Both of his parents were off the wall screwballs, and he rebelled by using drugs. Mental illness is in that family, clearly, and the drug use just made Alex even sicker in the head. He ended up doing what he did because no one in his family stopped him, or his sister, because they didn't want the truth to come out about just how phucked up their family is."

@@adimartinez_realtor Alex got a free pass that once again he wasn't capable of using. We learned in court testimony that Alex was in a serious car accident at age 16 incurring brain damage and was never able to reason beyond a teenager, not always a functional one, at that. So time after time, Alex couldn't take advantage of the chances to do better. Jail is a big time out to consider and learn a lesson. People cycle in there as they do everywhere trying to process their lives. Alex clearly didn't get the mental health help he needed while incarcerated. Most don't. It's actually rarely available to inmates. In retrospect, Alex could have been setup in a sting while he was in jail for assault against Joe Ryan, and given more time. Would it have stopped Alex from being under Lori's command later in life to be her henchman? We will never know. Either way, it's not this woman's fault. She is processing what happened to her and giving context. I appreciate her sharing her perspectives and insights. It helps me process the horror that got inflicted on our nation via Lori, Chad and Alex and their Cult.

I think for Lori's whole life, she is a person who is very conniving, manipulative, & selfish to get what she wants. She can use a trap for family & friends, by using their faith and religion to be in her cult. Then unfortunately for her family she met Chad Daybell a person like her. I think Alex had to have some psychological issues. I don't understand how he could protect Tylee from Joe Ryan, and then turn around and possibly detach from that affection and kill her. . . How did he convince himself (with Lori's twisted help?) that Tylee was a dark spirit and it was acceptable to kill her? I kind of doubt it. I'm on the spectrum, along with most of my family. To me he never seemed to show any other symptoms. He didn't seem socially awkward in the interrogation video I saw, he actually seemed charming enough to schmooze the detectives after Charles' murder. I can see your point, and it's an interesting theory. I'm curious if he may have had borderline personality disorder, that would also account for the easy manipulation. I've thought quite a few murderers have been on the autistic spectrum though, so it is an interesting thought! I guess we'll never really know.

@@marthawoodworth I agree. I dont think alex or chad are innocent by any means, I just believe that lori was a manipulative liar most of her life. I think she lied to alex , and everyone else, and helped alex believe with a bit of Lori's lying, he felt like a hero by getting rid of joe, "protecting" lori and kids. I believe she already had charles on the side, who believed he needed to rescue this innocent babe. I believe she was content with charles, until she got bored. Then found a new game to play, and charles found out, which was his mistake ,letting her know he knew. So the rush to rid him before the world hears chad and lori are having an affair, because ,CAN YOU JUST IMAGINE? So they killed him. His warning to tell tammy , I believe they tried to silence him before tammy could be told, but tammy did find out, and I think she probably ask chad about it and was killed quite quickly afterward. I think tylee, and JJ both witnessed the murder, and were talking about it. JJ acting out scenes, maybe, And repeating what was said. So they rid them to keep them silent forever. They were too proud to have the world know the truth. They used everyone, everything, every lying story told, and definitely the church, to benefit their own wants/ needs/fun, ego's and pockets. They did not kill the kids to use their SSI checks. They couldn't tell the SSI administration, the kids were murdered. So the checks were handy to spend of course, after NOT benefiting charles life insurance, cashing checks also helped look as though kids are alive... But if she planned to kill them then she would have got life insurance on them first. She needed them to be quiet. They thought they could pull it off.💃🏼🕺🏼🏖️💌 🙋‍♀️hi neighbor.

I’m pretty sure Chad killed Tammy, bc he was with her when she died. Alex may have initially taken JJ to his house on the night that Gibb was there, but when Gibb went to find Lori, she wasn’t in the townhouse. Poor JJ was so bound up, that it seemed like something that someone would do if they were angry and sick of it. Really seems like Lori could have been the one to eventually kill JJ. Not sure about Tylee, but Chad did say that he shot a raccoon, so Alex could have brought her to Chads property, but Chad ended up doing the shooting. I’ve really changed my opinion on Alex’s role. He botched 3 assassination attempts. Lori wanted him to kill Joe Ryan, and he just tased him. He shot at Tammy, missed, pretty sloppy attempt. Same for Brandon. He could have been reluctant to actually kill, causing Chad and Lori to be the ones to make it happen. He was definitely assisting and driving their poor little bodies to Chad’s, but that could be all. Even him passing away after Tammy was dug up could have been something caused by Chad and Lori to make him the fall guy bc they knew they would do an autopsy on Tammy.

No. If you could see the entire letter, it was filled with jokes. Jokes he’d written for himself and punchlines to jokes we’d been working on for me. These were taken as no more than silliness. “Call Janis” … I’ve never called Janis in my life. And “Ask Lori” … Lori wouldn’t know me at all. I knew it was all a joke but the news loves to edit to make things more interesting.

It came out in court that Alex had a brain injury as a teen & his brain got stuck making decisions like a teenager. Pretty sure it was his sister who testified of that. I could be mistaken because I’m listening to the whole trial and there’s a lot of people to keep up with.

I’m not covering for myself. I don’t understand how people can be so conditional. If Alex were alive, I’d be sitting behind him in the courtroom.
