Wir besuchten ihn auf Konzerten in der Fabrik (Hamburg) und der Music Hall in Worpswede, wo er mit eigenem Trio auftrat.

Doyle is not only a great guitar player and singer but an AWESOME songwriter. Love his albums Rich Man, Welcome (with Smokestack) and Jellycream. He is a badass.

2004. Clapton Crossroads Festival. Saw this badass for first time. Bought Jellycream album. Was hooked. 2006. He was on Road to Escondido album, with JJ Cale and Clapton. Met him in 2018 in montgomery Al. Great show, nice guy. The real deal.

After many years of acoustic and "finger-style" guitar, Doyle turned me back on to electric. I blame him for the cost of the new and ever growing gear!

Only a straight badass could go from Searchin' to I Want You (She's So Heavy) / Beatles at 17:08 then at 18:12 flow into California Love / Zapp (Dr. Dre') to finish! Oozing GENIUS from every atom of his being!

He plays with upside down strings. It's called the hard way. It's a result of being left handed, almost all guitars are right handed so its upside down for us lefties.
