What he should do is instead approach both Disney and Epic and see what they think of it. Considering EA's exclusivity contract is now over, it is very likely maybe something positive could come of this.

@@stephenkolostyak4087 that is true, but everyone who were involved are now all retired or scattered to the winds, working in lead positions at many differrent companies. Most devs from the 90s now make mobile games because they don't have the skills to make modern games. That is a simple fact. Now I say this because Disney owns the IP and Epic owns the game engine, like it or not.

The fact that these haven't been remastered yet is criminal I love the dark forces and jedi knight games. Jedi Academy was so good with the lightsaber combat. I used to turn on a cheat for it that allowed you to cut off all limbs and slice through enemies whatever way you wanted. It was great but also made the game harder.

This game just "feels" Star Wars in a certain way. The galaxy is a big place, filled with interesting people and their own stories, and you're taking part in one. There was no need to throw in an appearance of Luke, Han, or Leia; no need to make you a pivotal part of the Rebellion against Empire struggle; no need to shoehorn in other characters and events to show off how great these characters are. The music and sound effects were right and still feel very good, and the cut scenes, while corny, were a nice touch back in the day. The level design was superb, both horizontal and vertical movement were vital to your success, and the environments felt very grounded in the reality where Kyle Katarn adventured (I still love the falling ship level with the occasionally failing gravity and explosions around you).

This just popped up in my recommended, instant flashbacks to my younger days, remember playing this over LAN with friend and my brother. Funny that I remember lines from the cutscenes and even some of the secrets. The "mickey" logo on the map at 21:50 looks like the Deadmau5 logo, I think that may be on purpose, Disney and Deadmau5 had a trademark dispute like 10 years ago. Anyways, this was great to watch! I'll keep an eye out for this awesome project. 👍👊
