I love the 'true' switch and fakie in this game and the bump outs, something session could learn, but I love both equally. Also, thanks for your camera settings in xl, it makes it so much better to play!

Im pretty sure in session you can set the controls to where your normal pop foot is always a certain stick as opposed to stance based. Coming from skater xl to session, Session is 1 million times better of the two on console

What do you mean by ‘true’ switch and fakie? I’ve got a couple hundred hrs on xl and session and probably a couple thousand on the skate series. We used to do the ‘true’ switch on skate1-3 but I’m lost what you mean on xl?

@@sneakthieve I mean xl compared to session, with session you look the same doing a nollie and a fakie ollie, in the skate series you could do the true switch/fakie if you did a 180 then crouched down straight after rather than waiting for the body position to change.

@slaysimple9383 on console I 100% agree that session is better, but I am talking about how the stance looks in xl, when setting up for a fakie ollie or a nollie it looks the same in session, but in xl when going fakie, you have that look of going backwards and looking over your shoulder which is more true to how it is irl

Bump outs are massive for me in Sxl. In session I hate popping out of every grind but just rolling off doesn't always look good, where as that little bump out on sxl always looks so God damn good 🔥

It's nice to see you back on these physics again. It's noticeable that you haven't played in a while because you're going full Session canned-animation controls on the tricks for the first two maps, but mellowing out on the Area 52 map. We know that one of the sweet things about XL is how the thumb stick movement can really affect style and the way tricks look by controlling the speed and angle of the board. It's funny how playing one game can really affect another, despite them being quite similar. Sessions animations need a huge overhaul, though I think the devs gave up on that part of the updates.

The landings look so convincing and the way the feet slightly move around the board while landing or maneuvering is a realistic touch. I went with session over Skater XL, however, i wish Session was more grind friendly and lets not even talk about how weird the heel flips look in session

I really don't know how you guys do it...I've put in hours upon hours in this game and all of my tricks look like atrocious. You hop on and I can't tell if it's real life or not. You make this game look AMAZING....I wish I could do it. btw...you a big STEELERS fan, eh? Your always rocking some form of their merch. lol! I think this comes down to personal preference. Just because you don’t like the controls don’t make them trash. I actually prefer skater xl controls over session or skate.
