The Late Late Show with James Corden

James Corden kicks off the show marking a year since the last Late Late Show taped with a studio audience, and he remembers how a moment with Vin Diesel was when he knew we were in for a COVID wake up call. And James is so happy to hear that 25% of American adults have been vaccinated. After, James gets to know a fill-in camera operator, George.

Each week night, THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN throws the ultimate late night after party with a mix of celebrity guests, edgy musical acts, games and sketches. Corden differentiates his show by offering viewers a peek behind-the-scenes into the green room, bringing all of his guests out at once and lending his musical and acting talents to various sketches. Additionally, bandleader Reggie Watts and the house band provide original, improvised music throughout the show. Since Corden took the reigns as host in March 2015, he has quickly become known for generating buzzworthy viral videos, such as Carpool Karaoke."

To be honest, getting more interaction with the band and staff is way better than having an audience. Corden team's chemistry is very good.

I’m enjoying ALL the late night guys with no audience. Corden works especially well though as he just chats to random crew members and occasionally drops in some news to switch things up ❤️ 😂

It's the only show that really embraces not having an audience. Fallon and Colbert look like they just went through serious withdrawal but James just stays on top of the ball.

@@pakde8002 I think Colbert's enjoying having his wife Evie be his audience. He lights up when she laughs at his jokes and her off-camera giggles really make his monologues more entertaining. Though I agree he was a bit wooden at first; it throws off the timing of live performers when they get no feedback. Corden and crew play off of each other so well that they just bring it to the next level.

ALL the late night shows are better without an audience! Don’t have them back, because it’s what we’re used to now. (Plus we get to see the inside jokes.)

I've been watching Late Late for a long time and I will say that the vibes between the crew and James is exceptional. Yeah, the audience is great at times but it's so much funnier without them. Better banter.

Because Ellen engages more with her audience. She let's her audience play games and wins prizes which is very awesome and fun to see. James on the other hand doesn't really engage with his audience and that's fine. That's why they aren't missed

To be honest before corona I never thought I'd like the show without an audience but even after a year without it I absolutely prefer no audience.... more interaction with the band than before. I just love the way the show is now & it's sad how there is gonna be an audience again soon.

I have to agree with comments about the increased funnyness of this show without live audience. the laughter sounds more authentic and the rambling sidetracks with staff are so relaxing. You are the only late night show I can manage after this year.

Only started watching Late Late this year because it’s gotten so much better without an audience. His chemistry with the staff and band is fantastic, and it feels like he is connecting with the home audience instead of just the live one.

Here in Germany only 5% of the people have been vaccinated. Something is going wrong with our health system at that point. And Jens Spahn says that the vaccination works really good in his country. I don’t know what’s wrong with him. He did a great job during the last year, but now I don’t know what he is doing anymore.
